I resemble that remark! It's hard to find even a graded dirt road in this part of the country (unless you own a ranch). I was thinking of Idaho and Colorado when I made the OR choice. When I sobered up I realized I was in Texas.

Edit: The issue is just that there aren't many public roads that aren't already paved in my area. Makes "exercising" the front-end 10 miles every month a bit of a challenge.

    A little off topic,
How do you know what your towing capacity is. I bought mine used and no window sticker.
The vehicle info plate shows GVWR and for each axle but not combined or towing rating

I went back and forth at the dealer, really wanted the best of both packages. In the end they only ha a sport long bed and i like the paint and scoop so done...

Factory Blackout package, Soft roll up bed cover, Cheap seat covers, Front and rear dash cam, AVS in channel vent visors
If that´s how it works I would have a Black OR, an Inferno Sport, and a BBP SR5. I don´t think I can follow this advice.

Towing a 17' boat you wont be close to pushing the limits, so either truck will work fine. That said, the stiffer sport suspension will tow better, and like said before a long bed will make more of a difference. I have towed much heavier, even on 2000 mile trips, and never had an issue. My 2nd gen 2wd sport tows like a champ, and even though 4wd might help in certain situations, like pulling 26' boats up steep ramps, I have never needed 4wd. Durability-wise both drivetrains are tough.

Thanks for the link to the towing capacity, but I do not know if I have the towing package, or if a trailer hitch receiver was just installed. I bought it used no sticker. Is there something I can look for to indicate if it has the towing package. Otherwise I under stand it to be 3500 towing without the towing package. Obviously I would like the 6300 but I don't want to exceed the weight it can handle

I'm a DJ/MC and event lighting designer. I have a fully loaded trailer that I tow every weekend with the sport. The trailer is probably 4500lbs and tows like it's not even there. Unless of course you are watching the fuel economy.

If you have the tow package you will of course have the receiver mounted under the rear bumper, and the plug on the left side of the license tag.
The other items are not as easy to identify.

I would imagine looking up the VIN at a dealership would answer the question.
