When I was a kid growin' up here, you counted snowfall in feet, not inches. It's pathetic now.

In a pinch, you can use a bunch, and I mean a BUNCH of stainless steel hose clamps. That's how we did it when we were young and dumb!

You get them from crappy parts store like Advance auto parts or Autozone or something? I only use Federal Mogul from O' Reilly's or BCA SKF from NAPA if I can't get OE Toyota. Had lots of warranty issues with the cheap stuff from cheap auto parts stores.

Well inital plans of playing on Casper mountain and shooting the guns today didn't work out. First off wtf is with Casper? Having to pay just to use a air hose at a gas station? And half didnt even work. So after driving all over I finally found one it had gotten to windy.

So instead I cruised the car lots, and spent 5 hours at Ford. they were having some liquidation sale and I drove a 2014 Eco Diesel (Ram) and a 2013 Eco boost (Ford). Took both trucks on the exact same test drive route, and eco gave me 12mpgs while the diesel gave 19.8. This was a little through Casper then a quick run on the highway up to 80 and cruise then back through casper.

The Ram was the laramie package and very nice interior, ford was lareit and also very nice. The Ford definately had the get up and go vs the Ram. I hit 90 by the end of the on ramp, while on the ram I only hit 75. You can feel the initial roque of the diesel motor, but i was pretty unimpressed by its power.

They offered me 13K for the 4runner. I was surprised to get that from a dealership. I worked the f150 down to 34K, including the trade in and down payments and such, but just wasn't a good enough offer for me. It orginally was 48K, with 22K miles. Nice truck but not nice enough to give up the runner.

Now I went to Toyota, and looked at some new Tundras...and that I could see maybe giving the 4R up for. They even have a very TRD S/C models.

    I like window shopping lol.

My parents have an f150 ecoboost. Is it nice? Sure. Would buy one? Never. But they tow a big old camper with it and my mom likes the "cool wood trim" in the interior, so more power to them. I drove it last week with my dad and i just couldn't get into it. One instance i did a 3 point turn, put it back into drive and gave it some juice and had this absolutely ridiculous jerk to it. Almost like the transmission needed time to register and was like "oh, you put it in drive? gimme juuuusssOKAY GO". Damn kids and their technology. Just didn't feel like a truck, everything down to the sound the blinkers made just rubbed me the wrong way... /Ferd rant

I've always wondered about those Eco diesels. I heard all about them before they came out then I never saw or heard anything after that lol. I passed two on the road last week on my way back from Billings though.

Moral of the story SC Tundra > all.

Lol I want a new Tundra, but im trying to hold out until at least next year. The 5.7 is dated. Its a tough and powerful motor but its been way to long since they updated it properly. I love the new body style though. IT has really grown on me.

Theres a 2nd gen model here with the S/C I may go look at. Its a great motor no doubt but you have to admit it is definately getting dated. 10+ years with no changes? I mean I can understand it being a strong motor, but all the competition has caught up in terms of power, and surpasing in mpg.

I've noticed the different two. What was the big issue with the flex fuel model?

Dude. That thing will have 600ft/lb of torque and 400hp.

No truck comes with that much power unless you want a Ferd kraptor.

    Gas trucks anyways

Well ya if its supercharged. what are they normally rated at.? 380hp and 400tq? Something like that. Obviously a SC is sex X100000
but finding one is a biotch. Plus 3rd gen>2nd gen in this case. I may go look at some this week if work isn't to hectic. I want to see the difference first hand in the 2nd vs 3rd.
