Best 3" Lift kit?

Good afternoon, I was wondering what the best 3" lift kit for under $500 dollars is? I don't want any "lean" or "sag".




Disclaimer, please don't tell me to go for a high dollar lift kit, I don't really care how it rides, but just want the stance well so I can clear 33's and have it look good.

Bilstein 5100

 

"Best under $500"? Any that you can find...... You can do a spacer lift for around $100. If you don't care about a crappy ride, poor performance, and the likelihood parts will not hold up to average off roading, this is your best "cheap" option.

I was trying to find a complete kit like the Pro Comp, or Rough Country.

 

this with an AAL in the back.

 

You'll struggle to find anyone who'll suggest them here. Most of the lower priced "complete kits" include diff drops for some odd reason. They aren't needed. I've installed several 2-1/2" spacer lift kits for customers. They come off Ebay for $80 to $100.

I'd really suggest spending the extra $250 and getting the Bilstein/OME/Deavers kit for Headstrong. You'll be FAR happier with it than any cheaper option. BTDT....have my old spacer lift sitting on a shelf in my garage....

 

So just to be sure, this will be a 3" lift all the way around?

I wonder how much it'll end up being installed?

That's a 3" lift (front) and 2" in the rear. Will leave you with rear sitting slightly higher than front, but very close to level.

I install that kit (in my shop) for $400. Does NOT include install of new UCA's (if needed) With ANY 3" kit, you will almost always have to have new UCA's or else deal with an out of alignment front end. 2-1/2" lifts usually do NOT require new UCA's.

 

UCA's for a 3" lift will eat up almost all of your budget..

 

Okay, that is right about where I had to guess the install price would be, so your telling me that I'll essentially need to add the UCA's in on the kit deal, making my total price over 1 grand? (I'm sorry I'm a suspension noobie)

 

Go down to your local Les Schwab or equivalant tire/suspension store and pay them roughly $500.00 dollars to install spacers on your coilovers and blocks in the back. Wait a few months to a year to realize your mistake then pay more for the suspension you should have got. Poor truck. $500 for a lift, but you don't want to install it? You'll end up paying more in the long run...you will want, no, need, UCAs.

You would again be much better off doing the labor and taking the money saved and investing in a few more upgrades.

3" in ANY brand will require UCA's to get front end numbers right 99% of the time. 2-1/2" lif doesn't require new UCA's except in rare cases. You can buy the Bilstein 5100's use OME 885 coils, and get a 2-1/2" lift, avoid new UCA's, and keep the cost down considerably while still getting a better quality of kit.
