I was gonna weigh in this morning, but I was in zombie-mode and completely forgot to. I'll weigh in the morning and do before pics so I can have a good starting point (I know I'm between 206 and 209 & ~17% bf). Also, I just started on my creatine Saturday, so I'll probably gain a few pounds of water weight before the scale starts to go move down.

So last night my room mate was trying to tell me that he's taken 2 "cycles" of creatine and can't take any more because his body would stop creating creatine naturally. Any truth behind the later statement? He says some questionable shit sometimes, so I figured I'd ask y'all even though I'm pretty sure y'all have said that there is no reason to cycle creatine.

I just read an article last week about how there hasn't been any proof on either side that says it's bad/good for you. However, it said that there was a study done on people who hadn't cycled off for up to 9 years and their bodies were still producing normal levels of creatine. They couldn't say whether or not there were any long-term effects, but they said that, more than likely, there are not and that it is more than likely safe to stay on 5-10g per day indefinitely.

I also read that your body stops creating creatine when you supplement it, which is true, but no long-term studies have been done to see what happens 10-20-30 years down the road, so some say it's better to be safe and cycle off so your body "remembers" to make it when you're not supplementing it.

I usually only use it when cutting.

I'll try to find the articles

    EDIT: here's one:

If you're taking 5g of creatine a day you should be fine. I don't see your body going rogue and saying fuck it at 5g. There are people who probably get much more than that just from what they eat, but their body is still working for them.

If you started supplementing an extra 20g a day, maybe there would be an issue down the road.

I don't know. I'm no dr or science mo fukka.

That said, I usually take it for a few months, then take a month or so off. Usually when I'm cutting so I'll lose those extra few lbs of water weight and get that little bit of extra shreddedness.

I've been trying to weigh every Monday and take a pic since I've been cutting. Have progress pictures and whatnot. Forgot to do it this morning. Guess I'll do it tomorrow. This is week 3 of the cut. Went to longhorn with some friends Saturday but I ate "clean". Salmon and rice and some mashed taters. But they kept handing me beer. I stayed low carb and went Mich Ultra. Could have been worse, I guess

Sorry @dwalden2 I had to go get these after you posted. I got the suns out guns out and more lifty ones. How did you not get this one too?
    image.jpg

What size did you get? I got M but the squat one is a different brand and it's longer than the others. I kind of prefer it though, the other 2 are a little short when I stretch up or bend over...

lol I saw that one too. I've been thinking I should've gotten the large but the medium fits and I usually don't put shirts in the dryer anyway.

When I took multi's, I liked Orange Triad b/c it was the best bang for your buck. Animal is waaay overpriced. Not to mention, multi's don't do anything but make your piss change colors, IMO. I'd rather get my micros through food. Not hard to do, at all...even when you're about dat IIFYM life.

So I hear. Energy for days

I almost R.I.P.'d my 2nd set of these headphones. Hung them on my step while I was under the truck draining the oil. Forgot I hung them there and drove to Lowes and back. As soon as I got back home I remembered and sat in the driveway feeling like an idiot. Got out and checked and alas! They were still hanging on.

The mediums fit me fine. Ya gotta remember, I'm a short, small fucker. 5'8" probably down close to 160 right now.

Meth is very popular around here. Apparently you can stay up for days on that shit. Think about all the lifting and fat burning you can do if you don't have to sleep.

BRB, going to find some meth.

Accidentally forgot about my chicken heating up on the stove and burnt it. I am confused and surprised that it's a nice change in pace as far as flavor goes.

Posted a pic of that less talky more lifty shirt on FB and tagged my neighbor and told him it was subliminal messaging and I'll be wearing it everyday now. He said '3 minutes is proven for optimum muscle growth' which I won't argue with, but he is trying to lose weight so 60-90sec is better for that. He also breaks for 5-7min...not 3. 3 would be a blessing to my mornings. Oh well...
