No phone. Was playing with my DSLR. Couldn't believe the damn dog stayed still as long as he did.

I was building fence, but every time he would lay down I would grab the camera. As soon as I would lay down to take his photo, he would grab his tennis ball and bring it to me. I finally got him to stay down, and got him to relax.

Beer, dog, Tacoma....does it get any better? Took this while enjoying a post ride(mountain bike) beverage in the driveway.

I'm tending to disagree with this. I'm not an old timer and all of my GSP's have been completely finished (stay/whoa & come when told, steady to wing & shot, retrieve to hand and steady in blind...that's my definition of a finished dog) and I've never used an e-collar. Having said that....we don't have gaiters up here either. I run no collar while waterfowl hunting....don't want to risk that collar getting caught on anything.

Edited to add: E-collars are very misunderstood and are often misused as "punishment" tools and in the wrong hands can totally ruin a dog.

In the right hands, they are valuable training aids.

since we're on training again, how do I train the people around me to not be dicks and undo training that im trying to instill on the pup? I have literally considered giving the dog away because people are infuriating me with it. asking doesn't help, yelling doesn't help. should I put the shock collar on them and zap them when they interact with her wrong? man that would be a beautiful thing.
