    I have searched all over this forum and can't find a firm answer. I have 265/70/R17 KO2s with TRD Pro 17" wheels on my TRD OR, can anyone tell me if this setup rubs the OEM mudguards?

    Too few to list.
    When I had this tire size on my 2011, it rubbed the mudguards whenever at full lock backing up or when compressed and turned such as going over bumps and dips. Setting the caster to about +2.7 helped. I eventually did a lift.

    So on the Sport, would they also rub? I could go to 265/65/17 tires but they state they are for 7.5" rims and the Pro rims are 7". I keep seeing conflicting opinions on this. My truck is due in next week but the rims are sitting in my garage.

    Yeah im not sure if the sport is the exact same up front in the wheel wells as the OR. Maybe they rub on one and not the other. I see reports all over the place that they rub or dont rub so its really confusing.

    I have this setup- 265/70/17 KO2s on TRD Pro Wheels on my 16 Sport. They didn't seem to rub at all at first, but I have noticed about twice that they rub a little on the mudguard. It is very minimal. Seems to happen when suspension is compressed while turning. I'm sure with some minor trimming to the guard it would no longer be an issue, but even as is, it is not really an issue. Mine have rubbed ~2 times (very minimally) in about 500 miles.

    I forgot to mention, stock suspension. As far as a solution, I will either trim the guards or lift the front with 5100s. Haven't decided yet.

    So, I'm guessing I bought the wrong rims unless I want to trim something or have my tires rubbing. My rims are 7". A lift is not an option right now.

    They shouldn't be hard to sell I guess. Anyone in South Jersey interested? I'll post something in the for sale section.

    That is the tread width, not necessarily the casing width. Too many variables.

    honestly buy what you want and it will either fit just fine, or with very little massaging. I would only be worried if you were going up to 285's

    another option is removing the front mud guards which many have done which solves the rubbing completely, but literally we are talking about maybe an inch of trimming to the front mudguard of the 'extra plastic lining overlap' along the inside of the wheel well (where the plastic from the mudguard overlaps the stock wheel well liner). Trimming it would not be visible at all at a glance or affect protection/performance whatsoever.

    I'm pretty OCD about little details on my truck, but this is not really a concern at the moment which can give you an idea of what we are dealing with here. I'll try to get a pic that shows what i'm talking about later.

    I guess I'm more anal LOL. I'm not cutting anything on a truck I have not even driven yet. I'll find the proper rims somewhere. Doing it this way will just make things easier down the road buying tires. I listed them for $745 but will sell them for a loss just to move them if anyone is interested.

    I had this EXACT same issue...everyone saying no rub, then when I go to drive, rub! 2 weeks ago, I finally realized they F'd up my castor settings!!! So got them to fix it, no rub, and that's with oem mudflaps.

    TRD Wheels and a 265/65/17 KO2 are fine without a lift. If you plan to upsize to a 265/70/17 tire you might need to remove or trim the mudguards or airdam.

    The TRD wheels will fit either tire, the 265/65 will give you more room.

    FYI, There is no such thing as a 265/65/17 KO2.
