Thanks for checking out my build!
Late February 2016 I bought myself a 1995.5 tacoma to replace my previous truck. After giving it a little tlc it wasn't long before I started "personalizing" it :goingcrazy:

Heres how the truck looked shortly after bringing it home
    IMG_0887.jpg

After taking her home I spent a day installing new pads and rotors, a new thermostat, radiator, and little things I found here and there.

    IMG_0823.jpg IMG_0825.jpg

So far the truck has been great to me!... other than a few, umm.. "personality noises" :anonymous:
but don't those just add character?

I've found that there isn't as much information out there when it comes to lifting and working on these 95-97 tacomas, so I hope to answer as many questions as I can along the way.

Before I'm off to college in the fall the goal is to get as much done to the truck over the summer as I can. I've always been a fan of BlackDawg's and Boxrocket's builds as far as expo rigs go, but I'm always coming up with my own ideas. Hopefully I can create as many of my own parts as I can to save a little money. Things may not happen fast, but stay tuned!
I've got big plans for my little taco

Rear Bumper Build! Spent about a week welding together a rear swing-out bumper for the tacoma. Took a little while to get it off, had to cut a few bolts
    1.jpg
Didn't buy very much metal, just used what was lying around
    image.jpg
First time welding since junior year in HS
    image.jpg
I should have made plans before hand rather then jumping in head first.
    4.jpg
built the towers for the tire and jerry cans
    5.jpg
Spent $30 on 1" rod bearings from NW bearing in East Wenatchee
    6.jpg
    7.jpg
A little ghetto underneath but it works!
    8.jpg
Overall pretty happy with the results. I will probably make a new one eventually and just give this to whoever wants it. It holds up well but has it's flaws.

I know the feeling of loneliness on a build lol. I really like the bumper, can't say I've seen anyone make one like that and the originality is nice. I just picked up a "new" 96 in addition to the 2000 I have. Look forward to seeing some more out of you, and if you have any questions hit me up. Also just an fyi, I know you did some brake work but I'd highly recommend you to check out the bushings on the UCA and LCA along with the ball joints. The reason I say this is the reason I got a good deal on mine was the last guys ball joints broke and jacked up the front end. With a bit of examination I noticed the UCA was frozen in the outward position, leading me to think he wasn't getting much movement out of them either causing some stress to the ball joints!

Thanks, yeah with the bumper I'm using pretty much whatever I can find.. Its on there pretty good though. I picked the truck up for $5800 with 170k on it. It was the cheapest one in Washington that was v6 and 4x4 haha. I'm happy with it so far. I'll make sure to check out the bushings.. I'll be getting new control arms within the next two months though hopefully.

Very cool, on my 2000 I got the Camburgs. Thus far they're squeaky and damn near impossible to get aligned unless you go to a "special" off road place according to Firestone. Next go around I'll probably try out the Total Chaos UCA's.

Sooooo.... What all goodies did you get? Also before you start throwing it on, make sure you brace your self for the fact some stuff might/will need to be cut off.:sawzall::fingerscrossed: Hopefully not though.
