You'll need UCAs, the shocks and the coils (unless they're coilovers, they come together) and that's it. I think.

It depends on what you plan on using your truck for? Lifting for looks? Off road use? Comfort on the street?
If your not planning on doing any serious off road stuff and want the most budget friendly bilstien 5100 will work and they are adjustable up 2.5" of lift and you won't need to buy aftermarket uca's either. The stock ones will work fine with that much lift.
You will also need to to raise the rear with a AAL or something.
I recommend doing some research on this topic so you have a better idea of what is involved start here... https://www.tacomaworld.com/forums/suspension.18/

Ya I have a prerunner and I live in the city so I'm not gonna be doing any wheeling or anything. I just want to beef up my truck a little bit. I appreciate the suggestions.

Ya that's a debatable topic on tw. Most guys I know with a ton of experience say it's a waste . And all your doing is losing clearance with your new lift. I am definitely no expert on this topic though.

Especially with a 3" lift and ADD id recomend the diff drop. Your cv boots will likely not last too long as they are continously turning due to the ADD. The lost clearance is quite negligible! And it could possibly save you from chasing some new and frustrating vibrations....

Edit** oh wait, your a prerunner!! There is no diff to drop!!!

Ya I am still learning about the affects of a diff drop. If you ask this question in the what have you done to your first Gen today. Most guys jump on the "it's a waste" and are against it. And say just run high angle boots.

So how much clearance would you say you actually lose?
