Yea that was one I read that surprised me.

 

New ride. Only 65 original miles on it.

 

Every person I have heard say that can't prove it... While I was in training school my roommate said 2 of his friends got their cars worked on there and their cars blew up... Turned out it was a lie...



My uncles car wasn't the fastest one they built with the old setup it had but the new one they are building bottom up to make 1400 with one tune and almost 2200 with the second tune.

 

You got the cash to have a garage build this Miata with the LS swap for you or are you doing most of the work yourself. What your planning doesn't sound like a weekend project.

 

Friends with the guys who will be doing the welding... Other than that I will be installing most of it with them or myself... They are the top LS guys on the east coast and very good friends with my uncle and myself...

But yes by the time I have the car and have it all torn down I'll have the money and enough in the bank I'll be comfortable spending the money.

Most time consuming part will be welding in the engine mounts and rewiring the whole car.

What are you going to use to tow the car to the track?

If I had to tow it we have an 02 F350 and a 24 ft enclosed trailer

 

And yes my family does know a lot of people. It's good to never burn bridges with anyone and always keep in touch with those connections... That's what I was always taught

 

Why wouldn't you tow it? Or are you that confident in your driving and the parts to know that shit won't break?

You wouldn't be confident in a certified welder to weld something that isn't that hard to weld?

Weren't you confident in your bumpers when you got them for your truck way back when from saving you from smashing into a rock or a deer or anything like that? The car isn't going to be a drag car... If anything it will be a track car or a drift car... No hard launches to torque the engine off its mounts or anything...

Why does it have to be a race and not just an enjoyable drive in a pretty quick tiny car?

And HAHA... My dads best friend has got a dump truck with a trailer for his excavator we can use to tow it... He has a construction business.

 

One of them is my mechanic... seen the car myself. Not my mechanic's friend's cousin's girlfriend's neighbor's dog groomer...

Idk... They seem to make some pretty nice builds and put out high horsepower... The owner is just a rich kid who wanted to own a shop that builds fast cars and knows how to run a business but his partner is an automotive engineer and he has 2 great techs that have built their own cars...

My uncle wouldn't use ECS if he thought he was getting just a basic tune... After all they are building his car with no expenses spared and it will be the fastest car they have built and one of the fastest street driven full interior cars... They are putting a removable chute on the back

That's the point.... they make generic tunes to download on their own builds.... the problems I've heard is them not being able to properly tune other builds

 

I saw some guy on the Facebook selling a driver side... And IIRC Joe might have a set... I can't remember all he had... He was like a used car salesman over there... But the good kind that throws shit in the original purchase for free lol

 

I haven't heard of them tuning cars they haven't built... That's like me taking a pelfreybilt bumper and changing the design a little bit... It's not Pelfreybilt's bumper anymore and therefore is different and he'll I'm sure Tyler would be upset I changed it up...

I wouldn't want to put my name on something I didn't build and most others wouldn't either...

I'm sure they do it though... Last car I know of that had issues was some kid about my age had his car built there and they tuned it and then he went behind their backs and had Krazy House Customs tune it because he wanted more power and they wouldn't do it because his build wasn't meant to handle it... And then it blew up after the tune from KHC.

And the only reason I think you say it's a generic tune or your mechanic says so is because they build a bunch of cars with the same set up.... They find something that works and they stick with it... Why fix it if it ain't broke you know what I mean?
