2016 sits 1-1.5" higher than a 2nd gen, and lots of people are running this tire size with no problems.

Mine arrived today. Planning 275/75/17 though.. Anyone have rubbing issues with this set up with stock suspension? I'll get a level at some point.

I had this setup on stock suspension for a short time. At full lock backing up the tire hit the mudguard all the time.

Nevermind I have an older truck.

Ok so I picked up some OEM flaps for my TRD OR 4x4 with the 265/70/R17s with TRD Pro wheels and I have my answer. They DO rub but only slighly. When driving normally there is no rub at all, but going into a driveway, depending on speed and angle, I get some rub. Nothing major but you can hear it in the cab for sure. Here are some pics of how close the wheels come to the flaps. Not the best pics but you can get the idea. I may try to modify the flaps but cutting them slightly or heating them up and bending the plastic. I am also thinking of leveling the truck with 5100s to help a little.

I don't have KO2s but I have 265/70 17 General Grabber AT2s on TRD Pro wheels and they did rub on the passenger mud flap. Installed 5100s set at .85 and the rub went away completely.

Sweet. Did you do 5100 all the way around or just up front? Anything in the rear?

Man, now I am worried. I have 265/70/17 K02's and TRD rims in my garage as well. I get my truck in a month. If I take the front mudguards off will I be ok? Are mudguards really that necessary?

You should be fine with mudguards off, but I have not tested it yet. But looking at mine it looks like there will be enough room for the tires to clear with no rubbing. Even with the mudguards it only minimally rubs sometimes going pulling into a driveway. Its not bad, but I think im going to put 5100s on in the front set to .85 for some extra clearance. Not sure how much that will help but seems like the cheapest route.

Just trim the guards, i like to have mine on. If you live in a dry area with smooth roads they aren't nearly as necessary.

2016 don't come with mudflaps stock. The people asking have paid extra for them, so obviously the preferred solution is one which allows the flaps do be retained.

I just put theses tires on FN FX Pro wheels which have "0" offset and makes the tires set out a little more then 1" over the TRD PRO wheels. I have a little more clearance then you have pictured. I haven't heard rubbing but I also haven't put many miles on these tires yet. I'm going to monitor things and it they do rub I'm going to install the updated Bilsteins for the '16 come out to get a slight lift.

I have the TRD Pro wheels with 265/70/17 KO2's and havn't heard any rubbing. May have to have a closer look at my OEM flaps and
see if there are any signs, otherwise has been all good for me
