I kept the snowblower away. Did a quick shovel this morning for the sake of my wife and kids but that's all I intend to do.

If I had kids, I would be in some effort of clearing. But it is just me and my girlfriend. We both actually work for the same company and commute together most days so no need to clear the driveway for her..

Down here where I am in CT, the snow just stuck to the grass and trees. Roads and driveways are perfectly clear!

My driveway's all thawed out. Even if I hadn't taken the plow off, I'm not going to be pushing any snow at this point unless we get at least a foot. And even then it'd be a pain. Drop the plow, then raise it an inch or two, then push.

Anyone have a surface tablet? I need a new computer, most I do is office, movies and basic programs. Don't need anything with real power so I thinking of the surface 3 get a tablet and laptop in one. Thoughts?

I don't, but a bunch of my wife's coworkers have them since they are phasing out ipads for them and replacing with ms surface pros(they use excel for just about everything and ipads suck for huge spreadsheets). A few friends have them as well. Over all I've only heard good things from them, especially after windows 10 came out.

We will be picking one up soon to replace our 1st gen ipad thats on its last legs.

My birthday gift from the GF got delivered today. :bananadance:

    Brushless and everything. :goingcrazy:

Awesome replacement for my 10 year old Craftsman C3. Although that one still functions; the batteries are just toast. And replacements are stupid money.

I have the impact and drill set. Love makita. Great tools. Everyone I work with uses them, and beats the piss outta them. The concrete guys too. You can't even tell they're makitas because they've dropped them in concrete so many times... Just grey drill shaped blobs... I dropped mine off some 15' scaffolding last week and you wouldn't even know it. Got the 3/8" and 1/2" impact wrench head and they are awesome for work on the truck, or other projects. Enjoy!!

You have a pretty awesome gf!

Yeah, I do. Tolerant of my idiosyncrasies, too.
This one's just the impact/drill combination unit, the 3 setting one (drill, screw, impact) w/two speeds. But honestly that's all I really need. My Craftsman set came with a vac, skilsaw, sander, trim saw, and drill. The only one I ever used was the drill, lol. The others were just such battery hogs that they were a waste of time. You'd charge a battery for an hour, plug it into the trim saw, and after 10 cuts through soft pine the battery was dead. I might pick up the low-clearance drill at some point, though. Those are handy to have.

Nice, I got the makita 12vt set with drill, impact driver and 3/8s impact. Best thing iv bought for under $200. 3/8 impact fits anywhere. Don't need to use the heavy 18v dewar stuff as much. Pretty impressed with the size to power you get. Been thinking of buying their 1/2 impact at some point.

I had a makita for a couple years it was a good drill but I didn't have good luck with the batteries. I'm not sure if it was my fault or makitas. Either way it was nice while it lasted.

I'm looking forward to putting this thing through its paces. I make picnic tables and Adirondack chairs a hobby/extra income during the summer, and my old drill started out at one battery per table, then after a couple of years dropped to two batteries per table, then after a couple more years it was two batteries for half a table, and then I just switched to my corded Dewalt drill last summer, lol. I'd intended to pick up a new cordless drill at some point, or just a fresh set of batteries for my Craftsman. She must have heard me bitching about it at some point.
