damn tecumseh motor.....need help!

    i just ordered $48 worth of carburetor parts................and wifey is pissed...because i didnt buy a new one.:confused:.....and thats right after she said "its a project.....dont buy a new one...fix what you have".:rolleyes:

    yeah....well, i got a repair kit....that was $15..........and a couple extra pieces incase....shoulda got more o-rings tho. damn shipping is $11.....friggin ups ground...its all they do for now.

    partstree.com..............lets see how their customer service is. the place i got my primers from had awesome customer service...woulda bought from them again....but they didnt have everything i needed.

    getting there....
    got all my carb rebuild parts in....................and took out the welch plug on the bottom(float side) of carb....and cat get the new one in....any ideas? the new one doesnt snap in or anything.

    got the welch plug in.....kinda beat it in place. new float is weird as shit.......may go back with the old float. where the needed seat is.....there was a small o type ring that goes up in there....but with that in and either float on....doesnt seem like any gas at all will come thru. what the hell???

    I have never had a Tecumseh that I liked. They had good torque and power but they always blew up. I always replaced them with B&S. Now Harbor Fraight has those Honda clones and they kick ass for little money!

    when they run...they run good.....when the half ass run.......they aint worth a shit. i got this one running good when i rebuilt the carb......now i just gotta get a gas tank cause i split the original one in half.:eek:
