You should look into Candu Mk III heavy water reactors (modern Canadian reactor) versus GE's 1970's light water designs (the design of Fukashima 1-6). The systems are totally different and the Candu is much much safer for a lot of reasons.

Another tech that Canada is leading in the Thorium liquid metal reactor. I believe the first test reactor is just being funded now. If it works the nuclear material literally freezes if it leaves the reactor and the byproducts stay locked in the frozen solid. That's pretty neat.

No one here is saying nuclear does not have it's own challenges, but there are lots of solutions.

I will do that. It will be hard to convince me though and I'm pretty sure it's too little too late as the pacific is done now. There's alot of ticking time bombs out there ( GE's). What can I say I'm a doomer, lol!:ohsnap:

Yeah the Pacific isn't dead. There was definately an effect on the environment from what was leaked but it didn't kill everything off nor will it lead to widespread devastation.

Here's just a few. All links I got from enenews.com (the tin foil site). I love sea food, but try not to eat it anymore. IMHO this is a big deal and it's getting covered up by TPTB.

story #1 is lack of food , same thing our salmon here are facing and it has to do with warming sea temperatures due to El Nino , climate change and " The Blob "

    From your literature links:
The Pacific is huge. There's more water in it then air over North America. There's no need to panic but I'd avoid made in Japan seafood dishes.

I think the changing PH of our oceans is a more serious issue. As far as carbon and global warming.......................Tacoma owners are a problem. We need to ride bicycles instead.
If I don't admit this at least to myself I would be a hypocrite.

BTW, burning wood for heat is carbon neutral.

Only if you replant the tree's you cut down.

That's like saying growing crops is carbon neutral. It's not when we used Urea based fertilizer from natural gas and then sell carbon credits based on the CO2 capture without accounting for that.
