Sorry,I'm sure this has been posted numerous times but I can't find the particular kit I'm looking at.

Wheelers has a full OME kit for sale here. I'm just curious what size lift this is and whether or not 285's will fit with this setup. I've always seen people run the 885's with Bilsteins set at .85 for a 3 inch front lift. So I'm guessing the 885's on the Nitrochargers are a hair over 2 inches unless the Nitro's have a higher perch point than the oem Bilsteins.

I have a 2006 TRD Sport with a 2012+ TRD Pro front end and FN Five Star 17's.

If you are currently running this setup please feel free to post pictures.

OME 881 coils with OME nitrochargers shocks up front. TC UCA's OME Dakars with extra leaf in the rear. Warn 8000 winch with 80ft custom braided synth line. Custom 60ft synth extension. All pro tube bumper, Hi-lift jack, Safari Snorkel, Wilco tiregate. 2019 Jeep JLUR.
I run the 1st gen version of this with the extra leaf.
I doubt you can run 285's without a cmc.

if you want to run 285s with this setup get the 887 coils. you will not need to do the CMC but you will need to trim some plastic. and all this assumes you have wheels with the proper offset or you will rub your UCAs.

OME 887's will net around 3" of lift up front.

With 285's you DO need a CMC from what I'm told. Ultimately it comes down to whether you're using the suspension or not (i.e. flexing on terrain). Also I'm told full lock in reverse gear is when most people rub.

Also consider whether you want to replace your Upper Control Arms as well. At 3" it's usually recommended to keep your alignment optimal.

Not all 285's are created equal. Pretty big differences in width and height mostly because of different tread depths.

    x2 on the UCA's.

That is true i know Nittos are one that can be half an inch larger. I think my BFGs measure 32.8 and half an inch larger would probably cause me to rub.

Same, I have 885s with top plate spacer for 3", run 33" Wrangler Duratracs, no CMC and haven't had any rubbing issues while normal driving. When I flex, my tires hit the fenders.

More, tell me more. Please. Which ties are you running?

Also from everything I've read it seems like that you don't have to do the CMC unless you get upper control arms. My wheels have the proper backspacing do not touch the upper control arms.

i am running 285 75 r16 BFG KO2s. as far as i know aftermarket UCAs shouldn't have anything to do with CMC. if anything after you lift it and get it aligned, ask to set you caster a little higher like 2.5-3 and that should alleviate any rubbing by shifting the tire a little farther forward.

They say the added caster from the UCA's push the tire further back in the wheel well causing it to contact the cab mount a lot more easily.

This is one of the most overlooked things when lifting an choosing tires. Makes a big difference sometimes too.

Is it better to run the 885s w/ the top-plate spacer or just the 887s in order to net the full 3"
