Dipped?!!!!! How many coats, were did you buy the dip, how many cans did it take.....

 

Great read, what I gathered from that is that a K&N is great for about anything except actually filtering air. I'll take a dust free engine over a +1HP.

 

Basically it "works" but you are required to clean it 2-3 times in the life of a single paper filter. If you are not driving through rivers or taking your truck through a mud pit to get to dinner every night, the K&N is simply for looks and the name status. Now if you are talking a higher end built motor that isn't naturally aspirated, ie turbos/supercharger, then the flow ability of the K&N style filter would be beneficial if you properly maintain it.

 

Every once in a while you need to confuse the issue with logic..........
