Where are the winch bumpers?

I would think after 6ish months and 165,000ish (unconfirmed) new Tacomas sold that we would be starting to get flooded by the aftermarket with items such as winch bumpers. IMO, of the ones that are available, Expedition One, Metal Tech, Insain Fab, Fab Fours, etc., the only one I find mildy attractive is the Insain. If it were pushed out a couple more inches from the bottom of the grill and offered some grill protection, it wouldn't be half bad. I've emailed with Jason at Demello and his are to be out soon. Also, I talked to ARB on the 18th and they expect something out by the end of April, but I'm not sure I like the new ARB. I've used them in the past on my Toyotas and felt they were adequate with protection, had stoutness, and had little hangover (approach) angles, while also not being obtrusively wider than the truck, flare to flare. The new one looks to hangover a lot and be just a tick wider than the flare, similar to the 95-04 Bull Bar but swept back because of the corners, could be an illusion.
I feel like the others that are out there now just seem to be a little too in your face and want to take down a brick wall. They look like they have more square footage of sheet metal than my HVAC ducting at work. They also look incredibly obtrusive as far as the width, depth, and height go. I think a bumper that melds into the flare area looks more aesthetically correct and will also prevent the flare itself from getting bashed should one be pushing a springy branch or such that could flex itself into the flare when it falls past the bumper edge.
I just think someone should come up with something that has fundamental basics: Can support the weight of a loaded truck, give some protection to lights and corners of sheet metal, and also look attractive at the same time.
I know this is hard given the nature of the grill size and funky stock bumper that goes into the headlamp region, but it is doable. Demello's prototype bumper is the best looking winch bumper IMO that I've seen so far that addresses these issues, and also throws a retro vibe back to the Toyota truck that it's needed for years, with it's prerunner top bars. Very Ivan Stewart mid to late '80's feel, plus a spot for the winch.
Speaking of prerunners, I've seen a couple of tube bumpers coming out also, which also aren't ridiculously ugly, but again, some grill protection would be nice. Maybe I'm the only guy that runs into stuff just so I can get that extra couple of inches for turning around on these tight trails in the Rocky Mountains, so I probably wouldn't need it for desert wheeling as much.
I think there's just a lack of creativity from some of the companies producing these. I think anyone can take a bumper from a full size and shorten it down to fit this new Tacoma. I'm just not sure it's a good fit. Just my $0.02 and I don't mean to offend anyone in the winch bumper business. We all have to make a living, and no, I do not work for Demello Off Road or know any of them!!

You know, that's not actually terrible looking. I've had a hard time even finding pics of bumpers. I'm sure they're out there!

I havn't found any pics of the Brute Force on any '16's yet. I've seen the Pelfreybilt before and don't mind it, except that it protrudes out past the fender flare too much for my liking. It just looks funny to me, but I'd like to see a pic with center hoop and supports. I could always shave the ends down I guess.

I had a Relentless Fab rear on my '99 and loved it, but the customer service was probably just as bad as Marlin Crawler's for me, so I doubt I'll be shopping him ever again!! I don't like to pay for things and then maybe receive them 5 months later, unless I order it that way.

You realize they extend past to help protect the truck right?

I think that's the concept but I've found in the past that sometimes they get hung up on rocks, trees, etc., particularly when backing up, so I personally would prefer a smooth transition. I may have to buy a new fender or flare, but that's on me as a driver and the line that I chose.

This part on this truck lets my obstacle slide right past,99toyfun3paint.jpg

Whereas, the same type of bumper on my FJ has gotten caught on trees right here, and hindered rearward motion.

Copy that. My tires hit shit before my bumper wings so that keeps me out of trouble most of the time.

Sorry, my bad! Nobody told me that back in 2013. Do you have pics of your new bumper or prototype?

BTW here's our '16 Tacoma bumper. Just finished the design, it hasnt been announced or listed on our website yet. We've got 4 variations of tubing available too just like our other Tacoma bumpers (none/stealth, defender, summit, predator).

Strange, not sure why that wouldnt have been noted up front, we've had that wait since 2011, can never seem to get it below 4mo and some times it can double that during peak seasons. We'll be expanding our 3rd time this spring so hopefully that allows us to get it down.
Check above post of the '16
