Best Cordless Drills!! Post what you got!!

i think grainger only sells to businesses. we order items from there at lowes all the time.

 

I got a pretty good deal on a DeWalt 18v Cordless drill. It suits my needs and DeWalts are pretty durable.

 

Grainger will sell to anyone.

 

i have a Milwaukee 18volt cordless that i abuse just about daily with heavy heavy drilling through, wood, concrete, and steel, and well anything that needs a hole, from thin to several inches thick, and it works like a charm,

 

I'm a commercial electrician and do a lot of drilling in metal studs, junction boxes & electrical panels. I had a Bosch in the past with the NiMh batteries and the batteries were junk. Also had a Ryobi for a month & took it back. I've got the 18V DeWalt XRP 3-speed and love it. Yes the Nicad batteries are a little heavy, but I'm used to it.

 

I think you're right. The times I've gone there they ask what company I work for, & my company does have an account with them. Somethings they are wicked expensive, though.

 

You can work with them though, your right about them asking which company your with and i work for a huge contractor so that dose make a diffrence. But again getting the right sales guy can make all the diffrence.

 

Dewalt 19v

 

The best cordless drill I've ever had was a De-Walt 36v cordless hammer drill. It really isn't suitable for what most people would be needing a cordless drill for, but was just the tool for the job when I was looking for one.

I got this drill during black Friday sale and it was $40. So far I have only done minor house work, but I love it so far!

 

wow i wish i could get that deal i just broke mine few weeks ago looking into buing a new one fro christamas ,,,,

 

Anybody have any experience with Skill's? I was looking at getting an 18V, either that or a Craftsman 19V for about the same price.

 

Go with the Craftsman 19.2

 

We just bought 2 of these at my office. They're light, plenty torquey for most anything you can chuck in it. Batteries are light and charge fully in 30 minutes. It's small so you can get it in tight places. It has a built in LED to see what you're doing in tight spots.

I am an electrician and have a decent set of Dewalt 18v XRP tools. They are great, no complaints except weight/battery size. I really want to sell them and get Milwaukees new M12 lineup. I've used them and they are amazingly powerful for their size/weight.

 

I dropped a dewalt 14.4v hammer drill from a 12 foot ladder onto solid concrete, climbed down, picked it back up and continued working.

 

i'm an electrician. i use my cordless drill every day sometimes all day long. i've been through numerous dewalts in the past. they were pretty good. about 3 years ago i bought my first makita li-ion 18 volt(the white/black one from home depot). the first job i used it on was an old navy store where i literally had to drill hundreds of 3/8 holes in steel roof trusses. the drill worked flawlessly. and continued to work flawlessly for the next three years. the 15 minute charger is also a big plus. i never had an issue with the batteries either. i just bought my second one about 2 months ago.very good drill for the money!
