I drove my truck this morning and the clutch felt good. I went to work let it sit out in the cold for 9 hours and when I crank the engine my clutch felt weird, it drove fine, but my clutch was stiff like until I drove for a while. Is this normal?

First off, LOL at your cold.

second, Yes, it is fine. Cold makes the fluid "thicker" and thus the clutch is more stiff. Its all good man.

During the last few days, until today (31 degrees), our temperatures were about 10 degrees for a day time high with nighttime going to about minus 15. Only in that kind of temp (less than 10 degrees) have I experienced a very slight temporary sluggishness in the clutch pedal coming up, after the truck sat out all day at work.
I used to have a 1988 Isuzu Trooper that had a very sluggish clutch pedal in the cold, even in the 20's. It wasn't as bad after I bleed the clutch fluid in that unstoppable beast.

Last night was -40 both C and F and the clutch was very stiff. It felt better after using it a couple of times but highway driving would cause it to get very stiff again.

thanks for killing my worries, its a bit different when you get used to a 1989 tacoma 4x4 manual with a clutch cable and then get a new truck manual that the clutch is hydraulic
    thanks

Mine does the same thing when it sits outside in the parking lot all day. Once the truck warms up it is fine. I'm in GA too and have noticed that with the cold temps we have been having lately. Highs have only been the the 40's lately which is below normal for this time of year.

Its a little difficult to downshift into first when i'm in stop and go traffic until it warms up. I have to push the pedal all the way to the floor to get it into first when im going too slow to put it in 2nd gear. Once it warms up it shifts into first like butter :D
