With good reason...you're probably exceeding more than one limit with that rig.

According to my weight ticket, looks like I have another ~900 lbs to spare...image.jpg

Pretty narrow margin to spare. But you will be fine as long as you stay out of our mountains.

Funny you mentioned "our" mountains. We'll be pulling it to Rio Rancho in July. I'll just throw the hazards on and tuck between the semis.

Never get in a hurry is key.

I think there's something wrong with that weight slip. I doubt it's possible that you have ~5k sitting over each axle.

That being said, the GCWR (~11000lbs) is only one rating to look at. You should ensure you're not over on each axle rating (front - 2755, rear - 3110). I'm guessing you are well over your payload rating as well.

Thanks for explaining that. Apparently, I did not have the truck/trailer in the proper position on the scale. Gonna re-weigh when I pick up the trailer for service later this week and make sure its positioned properly. This shows in good detail where to position http://catscale.com/how-to-weigh.

Take a trip to the Jemez Falls Campground with the trailer and tell on here what you think of our mountains.

I just picked this up on Saturday. Pulled better than I thought it would. Really happy with it.

    Would like some opinions.
Truck: 2008 double cab with trd sport tow package. I have a cap on the back of the 5' box.
I am looking to get a trailer. The sportsman classic 20 RBT:
    21' long
3130 dry, GVWR is 4500 lbs, dry hitch is 426lbs
Will be getting WD hitch/anti sway.

Looks like I can do it from the posts I've been reading. Is it a good idea?

Thanks for the feedback. I believe you are correct. I need to get it on flat ground somewhere to check.

Don't forget to install a break controller, and you may want to install the Firestone Ride Rite air bags in the rear, for better handling and a better ride, but not a must for you, your trailer isn't really that heavy. I have them on my Taco, ride is like night and day when towing the TT, but mine is slightly heavier...Have fun...
