Picking up a Taco Double Cab TRD OR Inferno on the 24th, can't wait to start modding. This forum is an inspiration, the info is priceless. Thank you to everyone helping make this an easy decision as it's my first Tacoma and imagine I'll be a lifelong fan.

Better get it in the garage cause you know rain is coming. When we need rain I just wash mine. Rains the next day or two like clock work. The only good thing is the blue seems to stay clean looking for awhile which really surprised me. Just keep it waxed.

Once it warms up i plan to do a full scale detail. Claybar wax etc... Might even ask my buddy to spray on some more clearcoat. Ive got an old camaro with 8 layers of clearcoat shines like a beast and nothing gets through to the paint.

I have always known the negatives of using K&N air filters(especially for desert people) so I have never run one myself. But my truck came stock with the TRD air filter option, which is the same thing. Might even be made by K&N. I have been contemplating replacing it with the regular filter or just leaving it in there till my 5k TOYCARE service. Where I will inspect it before the service, then see if the stealership cleans it properly. Which I doubt they will, or try to put a regular one in and try to keep the $90 lifetime filter I didn't want but damn sure paid for.
