Yeah man, the idea of having sliders on my truck give me a peace of mind when out on the trails. i wish there were stainless steel/aluminum sliders :playball:

They have been nice. Think the cost and durability may be the issue with those two types of materials.

I know, I know, but I needed a half ton.

    That's what she said!

I spot paint them in the summer.. Not too bad really. I spray my frame with fluid film every fall.. So the supports that attach to the frame are covered as well.

I am seriously looking at the ici Magnum RT steps for my Tacoma instead of Sliders. I do understand that they are not going to be much in the way of protection, but I love the look of them.

Do you have a link for that? Honestly the only reason why I have tube steps is so that my family members can get in the truck.

When you see them on a Tacoma it blows the look of a Wrangler away....

Not sure how far away you live, but I haven't seen the gates open yet. I'm not sure if it's a certain date or when the roads aren't muddy anymore. You may want to call the field office and ask.

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
If you are going to be wheeling your truck at all be very careful using anything like those. They are not bolted onto your frame but to the body of the truck. If you want strong and practical then think about a set of sliders and these. They come right off when you want to wheel

Thanks, that's a good idea. I thought someone mentioned that it was open earlier in another thread but I may have misinterpreted what they were saying. I'll give them a call.

I usually go wheeling in the same place only a couple of times a year. It is still my daily driver and I am still paying for it. The rocks I will be going over won't be a problem with the lift I am putting on this summer.
