    This is what I use. Half the time I'm the only guy with a map. I heard people like LeadNav a little better which is for apple products.
    So this is a map and I use an app on my android to run the map. I currently use the app Locus. It is ok. It works completely offline and the trails are scary accurate.

    @Airdog did that. He came up on the big hill at the end.

    So locus imports the map from catrailmaps and lays a GPS over it? How do you get that to work?

    That is pretty much what it does. CTM is a mbtile and locus is a GPS app. I downloaded CTM to my computer and put the file in my phone through the usb. It's about 3GB. They explain on caltrailmap website under Android how to do this. Restart your phone after you install locus. I'd like to put the map on a tablet with gps so it is larger. 5" screen is only useful if you are stopped.
