I used a butter knife to pop one of blanks next to the fog light off. I bought an Air On Board switch and it had a pretty long pre-wired harness. I fed those wire down to the fuse panel and made my connections down there.

To get my switch to light up, I used an add-a-fuse to tap into the tail fuse. Crimped a wire to switch and viola, switch lights up when the parking/headlights are on.

Your looking for a green wire for 12+ and a green/white for variable ground. Should be one attached to the mirror controls.

That said, I found hot gluing a plastic dent puller tab to a switch blank, wait five minutes then pull straight back and your good to go. Wait five more minutes and the glue peels right off.

Hey if you have a tractor supply near you they have rubber floor mat that's thicker than the OEM mat and they will cut you off a 6x4 section off for $25. I've been very pleased with it.

Thanks for the offer! Goong to mooch off of the free oil changes until they are up and then will tackle doing it by myself. Suspension I think is still a bit far off. Wife isn't a big fan of constantly buying stuff for the truck so trying to "ease" her into it. Especially now with another little one that will be sucking up my $$ towards daycare.

Lucky you!! Can't wait for those days so that I can do not only stuff to the truck, but other stuff around the house and outside as well. Probably going to sound ridiculous being that he is only 2, almost, but I am hoping the truck will last long enough to be his first car once he's old enough to drive!

It's actually fun having him help me do stuff to the truck. He put my nerf bars on basically by himself @ 12 yrs. he will either get this truck when he's 16 or graduates. Most likely for graduation. I think I want him to drive a beater for a while first

Toyotas last forever if maintained. Mechanically anyway
