Nope, same mileage on my TRD Sport. 18.5 to 18.7 MPG. Exactly as before.

I've only started reading about the negatives with K&N air filters from sportbike forums over the past several years so I stopped running K&N air filters in either application.

I thought the TRD air filters were a dry filter application, but those might just be the ones I seen at the dealership. Asked them about the dry filter and they said there wasn't one for the '16 Tacoma yet. Had I known the Tundra air filter fits, I would've asked about that. Either way, I've got an AFE dry filter on order so hopefully that comes soon. I know gains (hp or mpg) are minimal (if any) for air filters, but an aftermarket one is good for being able to clean and re-use.

Sorry to hear about your new truck. I thought the same thing, but I think that Taco's being "bulletproof" came from the 22RE era. I've experienced majority of the small quirks posted on the forum about the '16, most notably the low transmission fluid and the BSM issue. This being my first Toyota and first Tacoma, some of the frustrations have disappointed me.

Regardless, I'm happy with my truck and I hope it lasts a long me time.

I am having the same issue with the whistle on the drivers side. I also am having a vibration (shimmy) on hard braking. They cut the rotors once at 4500 miles and still happens. This has been since new. I am making sure they document it at every service.

I notice a shimmy on hard braking, couldn't tell if it was the trans trying to change down quickly or the actual brakes as it only really does it at slow speeds.

This is why we have a warranty :)

Pisses me off that I already had the rotors cut paid 39k for the truck plus the wistle.

I had to confirm this. It's actually $130 for both sides installed.

Yes, same issue. Total loss of power, would barely move. They towed mine with 4,900 on it. They replaced the crankshaft position sensor and said it was good to go. That took a week for the part to come in. Drove it 5 miles and the check engine light came back on. I took it right back. They are gonna run more tests again! Total BS.

Bajakits used my truck for the prototype, so it was 50% for the boxed UCA. I think regular price is $899.. or give them a call to see if there are any discounts.

Officially de chromed. Door handles, vents, shift knob, cup holder. Probably more trouble that it was worth but oh well.
