@Greensystemsgo @Taco Love @MaverickTRD To say it was a LONG trip is a bit of an understatement but it was another great trip in the books. @iJonny didnt make the whole journey but the rest of us covered a lot of area and theses guys learned a lot about their rigs and themselves as drivers. This trip just proves how much more is back there to explore. Here are some pictures we got.........

    Doooooood.

Last time I ran Turkey ~5 years ago, there was a group going up a solid rock side wash... if you can call it that. We stopped and watched the carnage for a while. 2 buggies rolled backwards in just the 30 min we were there.

... and us "normal people" crossing the creek later on:

For those not involved in the fun festivities, I left my house for the meeting spot at 7, we rolled out together at 8, hit the trail by 9, ran turkey and ended up in cleator by 3 after a lunch on the trail (group shot), then around 3.30 we took off for desoto mine and subsequent drive back on senator highway arriving in prescott around 8. left after dinner about 9 and i made it back home by 11pm. LONG DAY.

If anyone loves these pics or any other from the run, ill be happy to do any cleanup/color correction if they wish.

Hot air baloons were launching like crazy around carefree, some very low at the meeting spot. If you have never gone for a ride, you need to.

Wasn't a long enough discussion about the mud, it needed closer inspection

I've been wanting to drive 2 sections of Bulldog Canyon that I haven't been on--FR1356 east of FR3512, and FR3512 north of 1356--so I took advantage of the weather this morning and headed out. I entered at Cottonwood and exited at Wolverine.

FR1356 is scenic with a few spots that may be challenging for 2wd, but should be doable. Most of the 4wd areas are posted off limits.
    IMAG0539.jpg

FR3512 north of FR1356 was fun. I went as far as I could comfortably (a few miles) since I was alone, but I am interested in going back and seeing how much further I can go. The trail does become more technical the further you go.
    IMAG0541.jpgIMAG0543.jpg
    IMAG0548.jpg

After leaving FR3512, on the way to Wolverine, I noticed a hill that is usually posted as "closed" is now open, so I played around a little.
    IMAG0554.jpgIMAG0555.jpg
    IMAG0560.jpgIMAG0558.jpg

I spent a little time in the play area at Wolverine before heading out. While airing-up I noticed I had added to my pinstriping collection (they don't show up well in the picture)...they'll buff out.

That was the last trail the buggy did (most of before breaking). Had a 1st gen 4Runner Raisin on 36s. He was taking all the bypasses. But it was at night, so I'm not really sure what I was actually crawling over.
