What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

My wife and I are about to have our first (boy) and I'm excited to teach him stuff and so he can help me work on my vehicles. I told my wife that I'm going to give my Tacoma to our son as his first vehicle. She looked at me like I was crazy. I drive an average of 9,000 miles per year, the Tacoma will be a great first truck with a guesstimate of 144,000 miles on it by the time the kid can drive.

 

It's fun! I'm not the most mechanically inclined person, but bolt-on stuff is fun to do with a kid. I backed into a pole(oops) and needed a new tail light a while back. My son put those on too. He was so proud, and so was I !!!! He didn't help with the fog lights though... Too busy with the new Xbox one game. Go figure

 

Mine did. Just be aware that if anything in the driveline breaks, they're going to blame the suspension first.

 

The stealership is probably the most expensive place to have mods done. I'd look around. Just my $.02

Hell, the one in town charges $99 to plug in the scanner. Im in the wrong business

 

Congratulations! My twin girls are about to turn 3 and I am thinking I'll need to get them a Smart car with complete external roll bars and anti-penis alarms.

Congrats!! And I got the same look from my wife when I told her that I wanted to give him the truck when he was old enough. She called me an idiot. Oh well... the wife's don't get it.

I'm at 76 days, (the day I joined up), no where near as long as that.

 

Bought mine in October with 3k on it, just hit 21,500

 

Installed hi lift mount (and jack) and did the diff breather mod. Followed up by some mud and a carwash

 

do you have pic? I would like to see it before i go to my local tractor supply.
