I am very happy with 265/75, but I also did not go with a full 3 inch lift.

If you don't want to trim or rub (much) go with 265. 285's you will have to trim. Click that link that Nick (MyToyTaco) provided you with. That's a thread i started awhile back for people wondering how much they would have to trim with 285/33 tires.

ive got 285's with 16 in. rims. If ur goin to do 285's stay with the 16 in. rim. it also depends on what tire u get that will determine the rubbing. ive got the 3 inch toytec ult. lift w/ aal. i love it. very minor plastic trimming

Not too much. You Do have a 4:10 gear ratio, so that will help alot.

I really want 285s because i think the 265s look like skateboard wheels after a 3'' lift

On the 2nd gen (05-10) the 265/75 (bridgestone revo2) fit fine. I'm running a 1.75" lift up front with stock 16" wheels and no back spacing. I think they look plenty good, less of the "skateboard" look than on the 1st gen, and no rubbing even on moderate offroad. just my $0.02.

ok one last question on sizes would you go for 265/75/16's or 32/11.50/16's? because i like the look of a wider tire but would it rub if i don't have a lift. also i would have to order the 32/11.50/16's and wait a few weeks for them to get in or should i go ahead and get the 265's tomorrow.also im going to some snow in a couple of days and i would like to wheel in the snow. so let me know what you would do.
