I just finished cutting for 35's and it wasn't bad at all with a +2 kit. Based on @Robertocritser pictures I would rather do 35's first and if they don't perform move up. I just think +2 and 35's is fine for the trails we have around here. If you want to mess around on the moon rocks, and stuff like that I would go 37's or higher.

you would know nothing abouy being a fanboy now would you? :)

Have you seen the new TC kit? Its really nice and designed from input given by the teams that run the kit in the Dakar. I spoke with Patrick and he is going to bring a demo kit to the Overland Expo. I can't wait to see it.

No I wont be going LT, but one day ill sell off my kit and just go solid axle. This is many years down the road and ill need a DD.

That's what I was thinking, go 35's first and if I'm not happy then move up to 37's. Probably the smart thing to do haha

Anyone know how close or far off the speedo is with 315/70/17's and 4.56's? I was asked earlier and I didn't know.

Well, got back from the machine shop and the problem I have had with my engine was dirt. This is from sucking in dirt into the intake after removing the fender liner (something many of us do). Not trying to scare anyone but there was a shit ton of dirt accumulation in the intake.

If you are planning on going to 35's, plan to reroute your air intake before doing it. Save yourself 3-4k down the road.

Are you guys automatic? 4 or 6 cylinder? I'm a V6 auto with 4.56 gears and 315/75/16's(close enough to the 17's I think) and off about 11%-ish. That was with stock gears and after gears. Only thing that changed was the RPM's. Aren't the wheel speed sensors at the wheels/hubs what determine the speed regardless of gears? When speedo reads 60 it's doing roughly 66. At 70 ~ 77.

With an auto it reads the sensors at the wheels therefore gearing doesn't effect the speedo. Only tire size does.

Manuals are read at the transmission? So gearing and tire size has an effect.

Yeah, it's something like that. When my speedo reads 55, I'm actually doing 61. (6-speed with 4.56's)
