Take it into The Truck Shop from now on. They are all certified Toyota Techs and can perform warranty work. James is a good dude to deal with and they work a lot on heavily modified trucks.

Yeah, I'd wait on blasting the media with your story....for now. But definitely let Toyota know that you will if they don't offer to make this right somehow, and if they're smart they will. Who knows, maybe in the long run this whole shitstorm they've put you through might turn out to work in your favor better than you'd hoped, depending on how Toyota decides to make it right. But if you go straight to the media without giving them the chance, then they will 100% for sure go on the defensive and that's a battle that you might want to avoid (i.e. Toyota corporate legal team)

Note to self....get a hidden dash cam

Hey I got a free hat with my 16 purchase! Had to talk them out of it though! Don't go soft on them now. There is probably an endless line of consumers being dicked from a-holes like these guys. Keep on pushing corporate to get what you need. Once your truck is straight then make that decision if you want that video aired or not. If they don't fix it then definitely air it.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Anyone else concerned about the illegal video taping of someone without their knowledge? OP you're in the "right" as far as being mistreated but you've very likely broken the law.

I would disagree that the techs have could expect to have a confidential conversation inside someone else's property. It's not like Vance would've had to trespass onto the dealership to be able to hear the conversation without the camera there nor is this a "personal or familial activity." Putting a piece of tape on the camera make doesn't make it a hidden camera.

I'm not here to argue the semantics. I'm just warning the OP that his "nail in the coffin" may not be as guaranteed as he expects.
