What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Not sure this would hold up to any small impact in the cold. I would think you would have to heat mold these as well? I could be wrong.

 

yeah same here, I have a few trails I could open up for my atv but if I do that everyone and their brother will be using them...so I opt to keep the trees to block the road...that way it deters the lazy from walking down them

Edit: Also found these reusable clips to make it easier to remove the panels. They are the same diameter as OEM to fit the 8mm holes.

 

This is what I used. it's worked great for about a year now, from below freezing to death valley.

 

I hate not having my aprons. Previous owner tossed them when he did the body lift. Ive been putting off doing this since I took the lift out

What's lux again I forgot? I know blackdawg just explained it some pages back.

 

The amount of light needed to read something. So the higher the lux is how far away from the light you can be and still be able to read something. Or that's how I remember it...

Now I finally understand Higher lux's SN.

 

Lux is a measure of how many lumens a light puts out over distance. As opposed to lumens, which is just the total output at the source. Lux is far more useful. IIRC, lux = 1 lumen per square meter.

1 lux is how much is needed to read printed text. Blackdawg was using that as reference to show how far the light they were talking about can shine.

Doubt it. Plus they are optic less lights. Just small reflectors. Be great flood lights or fill lights. Nothing crazy distance wise. Be a nice short/medium range light.

 

Well, this may work for a good light on the ditch light brackets. I have the PIAA 520's on there now....meh.

Question: Can I use the PIAA harness, if I get these? you know, since the wires are already run and all....

 

Have the spots on my bike. They work real good in this application.

 

What's a decently priced spot? I know you run retrofitted lightforces right? I am in need of distance! My brights aren't currently working and Idk why. But need to fill the center of my bumper with something useful! My rigid driving lights are wide enough for the ditches but need something long range to see down the highway when I'm mountain driving! Which I do alot

Should be able too. Just a relay setup. May have to swap the pldugs on the lights but that's all. They would be better then those halogens.

I have retro hella 500s and just normal lf240s.

Honestly can't beat them for price but these aren't bad VVV

I e seen these in action and was impressed with their use ability. Was the 185w version though. And 3 of the lights.
