Yeah, im not sure, I bought them for the studs in my spacers so I think they'll be perfect length after running through the spacer, but I havent heard of any stock length strong studs other than cutting down the arp studs like mentioned

Is there a stock first gen driveshaft that's longer from the carrier bearing to axle?

I ended up cutting down a set of ARPs to fit spacers on. No issues. Just use a fresh cutoff wheel.

I have a set sitting in my garage but after cutting just one and thinking about doing it 23 more times I realized that I would rather spend $40 on a new set of open ended lugs. Quick search and I found black open ended locking lugs on ebay.

    Stuff and junk and things...

using a tape measure and a hammer handle is a pain?

Your best bet is to set it like they instruct for kings. When you insert the seal head it will push the IPF into the resi and set it for you.

I prefer to set the IPF 1/3 of the resi length from the oil inlet end. Be sure to full compress (without a charge and fully assembled) to make sure it doesn't hydrolock.

We asked Brett a few years ago at the swapmeet how should we set the IFP. He said to just charge it with air before adding oil to make sure it's at the bottom of the resi just like the link says. It's what I've been doing and haven't had an issue.

Should have split the difference in wheelbase from the double cab short bed and the standard and 6 foot bed. Give you a little wiggle room.

The wheel base is the same on double cabs and ext cabs on 1st gens. It's the exact same frame just different body mounts.

@jeffz0rz @Blackdawg think he was refer more to just the bed it self. Like if u put a standard bedside on the dbl cab vs put the dbl cab short bed bedside on... Splitting that difference. Am I right Jeff?

Why would you increase the wheel base over all then? Plus no bed sides would line up? I don't see the point..
