FACT is it's IMPOSSIBLE for the gold standard to come back. You and shr133 don't have a clue and talk out of both sides of your mouth. We can have a limited amount of gold AND an unlimited printing press at the same time. Pick a side. There isn't enough physical gold in the world to back the all the global currencies. That's a FACT. So NO it can't be brought back.

And you believe they will inflate it to oh say $50,000 an ounce or so to back currencies when the world "decides" to go back to a gold standard and you'll be rich right?

    Ever taken an economics class?

Does Alex Jones write for Currency Wars by chance?

Of course not. Gold standard gives countries much less control over their currency valuation which has massive effects on import and export prices. Gold is good to have for electronics and jewelry, but we will never again be on a gold standard.

And LOL about the market being in a general downward trend
    image.jpg

Also China is nowhere near the largest economy in the world.

    They all make perfect sense....
The west is spending money they don't have, it's that simple, because the money is based on nothing...
A gold std would force us to maintain a budget and that's good...
We most likely don't have any gold left.

The petrol dollar is dying right now, I don't know what it will be replaced with.
But if we have 8000 tons of gold it won't matter.
They will just come out with a new dollar for 2 or 3 to 1.
Or the current dollar will be revalued down 50% or so.

The most ridiculous response yet. Try. Just try, a little bit, to think outside the box, unlike most sheeple. You stand a better chance to survive potential economic catastrophe.

Sorry, I'll try not to be skeptical about the skeptics point of view...

Follow you're own logic. The fact that you call other people sheeple shows your own lack of education more than anything else.

hehe, I'll just leave the 'ever take an economics' class bs aside. And no Alex Jones didn't write Currency Wars. A guy named Jim Rickards did.

If you look at the stock market from inception of time, of course it shows up. Come on, man. If you look at the stock market from the 2008 crash, it recovered, but in recent times, is in a downward trend. Why did the stock market recover? It recovered because QE, not because real growth.
