Spent the past 3ish years in Hawaii. Currently down in Oceanside visiting family, breakfast then hitting the road back to Travis AFB. Going to be stationed there for the next 3ish years until we retire then heading to Arizona, probably Buckeye/Verrado area.

Got a partial thumbs up from my wife on a new camp kitchen. So it's either PB & J or some type of grilled meat. Either way, we will bring enough for others. Oh and don't worry, I make a mean PB & J.

I tell you what, there is nothing like a good PB&J. Travis, I am not to far from there. Currently I am stationed down in San Pedro (LA/LB), but the family lives here in the bay area. I got about 8 more years before retirement. Though the old lady and I are still arguing as to where we want to retire.

What size tire are you running? I can throw in my second spare, wasn't otherwise going to for this trip; 265/75R16. Gotcha covered on the air and recovery gear.

Thank you, no need to bring an extra spare, running a 35ish tire. Might pick up some plugs and minor tools. If need be I can plug, bum some air and limp out.

Does anyone have or planning on getting or know if we even need a burn permit for the stoves or bbq's?

I will have to check. I will try and call Forestry Service tomorrow morning. Most the time (most) stoves are ok.

Yes, let me know rob. Mine will be a small propane grill.
My buddy that gets me the korean short ribs is not in town. So I'll be bringing burgers/dogs if the grill is permitted.
If not I can pack some cold lunches no biggy.
I'll also bring a snatch strap and some spare tools / tire plugs. I might have a extra d-link if i can find it i'll bring that along too.

So I contacted Mendocinno Foresty. Within the National Forest you do need a burn permit even for camp stoves, however - where we plan to stop for lunch (if you look back at the maps I posted on page 3, the 4th photo) on Bartlett Springs Road at the campsites just East of Indian Valley Resevoir - we are outside the borders of the National Forest. Forestry said we didn't need permits for this area. So I think we are good to go for grills and stoves.

I have some recovery straps, air compressor, a couple of d-rings and some other assorted stuff. Yeah, I was gonna do up some dogs and stuff. I got a bundle of paper plates and plastic ware, trash bags, paper towels and some other stuff. Also bringing my little honey bucket with toilet seat. My girl hates to squat and pee. She likes the bucket with the seat, hahaha. Have to start going through all my stuff to pack and bring along tonight.

I also have some canned chilli I will pack in case anyone wants chilli dogs. Might also bring my Coleman coffee maker too. So if anyone needs a coffee pick me up before we get back on the trail after lunch I can do up a couple of pots. But if you require any special creamer or sugar you have to bring that yourself, hahaha

That thing is AWESOME. Yeah, I got to pick up some drinks and a few other things tonight on my way home after work while I am getting gas. All the other stuff I will pick up Friday on my way home.

It does alright. Takes a little longer than a household coffee maker, but just sits right on a burner on a Coleman stove and does its magic.

I don't have a grill, just the Coleman 2 burner stove.
