Just took delivery of a new Tacoma, bottom of the line work truck. This is my third new Toyota in a row, and my second and a half pickup. I had an '85 pickup and loved it. My next Toyota was a '93 Camry, 5-speed standard shift (the only one in a 5-state area). I eventually installed a trailer hitch and removed the back seat, which I then called my Camry Pickup.
I live in Bastrop, a wonderful little community "just east of weird", as we like to say. Born and raised, and lucky to have escaped from Houston 12 years ago, and even luckier to have found Paradise.
Two HUGE reasons why this community is so great are Carlos and Laurie Liriano, owners of Lost Pines Toyota. From the day they arrived from the country of Louisiana, they have been huge benefactors for numerous charities, including the Big Pink Bus, a mobile Breast Exam unit providing initial exams to un- and under-insured women (and men) in the Bastrop area.
They also hold a monthly Gumbo Friday, at which particular charities are supported and/or acknowledged. And the gumbo is to die for, I gar-on-tee!
The Lirianos are the finest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. They are more than friends; they are Family. If you ever come through Bastrop, stop in a say Hi, and tell 'em Pete sent you.

""We the unwilling, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have done so much for so long with so little, that we are now qualified to do anything with absolutely nothing!"
