The Waiting Game...Who's playing?

I'm playing, waiting on a TRD OR DCSB with M/T. Like looking for a unicorn in the southeast. Ended up putting up cash for the dealer vehicle locate program.

 

I've been waiting on my 2016 Sport, Mgm, double cab, short bed with premium tech pack and sun roof since Feburary 6th. I hate waiting, so I called the dealership and they said it could be in any day now. Well that was last week, hopefully my wait is over this week! This will be my first Tacoma I've owned and I'm excited to finally get one!!

Just ordered beginning of March, DCSB OR in Quicksand, was told a build date of 3/24 after no matches could found for a swap. Hoping it gets here soon! Have spent years dreaming of owning a taco.

 

I stopped by my dealer because I was in the area. My salesman was telling me it should be delivered by the end of the month. Well turns out he was confusing me with another guy and my truck hasn't been built yet. Build date April 13th and I ordered February 3rd.

 

MGM OR DCSB 6MT. Ordered 2/15. Built as of today and on its way to the dealer. Hopefully just 2 weeks away!

 

MGM DCLB 4X4 with the HH package. Ordered it in December. Got a call 3 weeks ago only to find out the secretary gave the #'s for an OR. The next week got another caLo that my truck is in. Should get it on Thursday.

 

I hear you, I got the same run around. I ordered thanksgiving weekend, but the order wasn't placed until 12/16, with a due date of 1/18. Then 2 weeks before I got the "inferno color recall" scam put on me( frikin moron ). But I now have a date of 4/26 to arrive at Houston hub. It shouldn't be much longer after that. I live in Austin.

 

Just got a call from my salesman and my truck is ready to be picked up.arrived one day earlier than expected. So excited for my first tacoma. Now I just need this clock to go faster so I can finish work. 40 more minutes. I will post picks up after.

 

My salesman tried to console me by telling about some guy he sold a truck to that waited 4 months to get a build date for his inferno Tacoma, and how much he wishes he had trucks on the lot and they didn't have to wait so long to build these trucks.

You're telling me dude! I'm the one that's paying $35,000 for a truck AND am waiting for it to even be built!

 

I'm trading my 2014 Tundra TRD crew and getting an inferno double cab OR. It is fully loaded premium/tech demo but they gave me a great deal on my trade in. I get the truck when it's released April 22nd. My first Tacoma!

 

how long did it take for you guys between the order being "accepted" and the build date being set?

 

I was supposed to pick up my BB DCSB 6MT with P/T and tow after waiting a month. The dealer gave me a great price because they didn't factor in the cost of the tonneau cover. I'm paying for the truck all in cash, and they switch the price on me! They now added the price of the tonneau cover which was not on the purchase agreement. I was fuming at the dealership because the managers at this point basically told me to take it or leave it - they didn't care for my business after THEIR mistake. Am I missing something here? Am I in the wrong to have wanted the price they originally quoted me? Maybe that's a loaded question.

 

Today I ordered my 2016 TRDOR MGM DC with Tow package for 34,4. Bought it at Kendall Toyota in Anchorage. Has a build date of 4/06 and should be delivered at max 12 weeks.

 

I know it sucks but walk out... I wanted no accessories on my DCSB OR just the tow package. Seen the sales agreement had carpet mats for $209. Said im not interested if they dont take them off.

 

Sorry man. That sucks! I'd call corporate if I were you and tell them the story. If they can't resolve by eating the $$ or removing the cover and giving you new rails, I'd walk. I would be really surprised if they didn't make it right.

 

Ordered dec, 15th... ETA... in the dealer's yard!!!! Finally Remote starter and electric brake controller installed tomorrow... pick up Friday!!!! TRD sport DCLB Inferno!!! or like I told my wife... Friday I have a date with a tall red head

My wait will be over tomorrow! Ordered December 23rd, signed papers today and picking up tomorrow. What a long wait (3 full months). Took a look at her today, and very happy!

 

Just got word from the dealer that my truck is showing to have a scheduled arrival date of 5/10. Stoked!

 

Did your dealer switch the tires and wheels? Mine wouldn't so I had to buy mine.
