Mine is going on a Prinsu.... I have both racks so I can mount it over the cab if needed, then use the bed for my motorcycle

Another great option to check out... Odin Designs. They offer free shipping and Reuben the owner and only person you will talk to on the phone is great. www.Odindesigns.com

Here's mine! Just got it a couple weeks ago and LOVE it.

Am I the only one who has noticed they are ALL the same? Is there one guy in China giggling maniacally as he manufactures these?

Haha there very well could be. And you're not the first to notice their similarities. But as with so many things in this world, different companies use the same manufacturer. There are differences with these tents because the manufacturers offer different options. My tent for example has YKK zippers, skylights and a telescoping ladder. These are options Odin Designs chose to outfit their tents with. Not all companies use the same options. And, not all companies offer the same customer service, colors, shipping options, etc. My tent was fully assembled when I got it. I didn't have to attach the ladder or anything because Odin Designs takes the time to unbox each tent, inspect for quality, assemble, and box it back up in a nicer box than China sends these in. Competition is good...

Another perk, I live in Colorado which is where Odin Designs is centrally located. So, I was able to go see and touch their tents before pulling the trigger, and he even helped me install it on my bed rack. So really, it's all about what company stateside you choose to give your business to!

I like the free shipping they offer. Even though they only offer 2 models, the free shipping does make the RTT prices more reasonable.

Its pretty damn big inside! Whohoo! anyone know how the front flaps work? Opposite side of the door? There are two of them, I assumed you hooked them to the rods together, but thats clearly not it.... one seems to be the fly, the other is just like a window cover, but both have the rod rings in the flap.....??

Its an ARE Overland. It had a factory rack option, I'm not sure if its especially reinforced, but the dealer said the RTT was not a big deal... *fingers crossed?*

Yeah I mean I don't know how much you weigh but I doubt it will be an issue.

I'm looking at getting an Odin as well. Looks like a solid product with good customer service.

Cool. I have a Snugtop Rebel rated for 150# dynamic load. They sell a reinforced option that is rated for a dynamic load of 500#. My dealer talked me out of it (and I can't say I'm totally confident in him after he botched the install). He said my shell would hold 500# static load with no problems. I had a fiberglass knowledgeable buddy who looked and my setup and mildly agreed. It's also a short bed therefore sturdier. So fingers crossed for me too. But I'm going for a smaller lighter 2 man RTT like the Mt. bachelor model. I'll be loading on a earlier edition Prinsu with the single slot extrudes and the 6 evenly spaced feet attached to Yakima rails. Tent is also just barely wide enough to fit inside the side rails spaced at 43" apart.

    tent and gear at 120# + 2 people = 470#.
Rounded up to 500# let's say.

I'm stoked for you! The more great feedback I find on the tents the better purchase choice I can make. This is how I ended up a Tacoma owner.

I can lift it over my head. I just can't control what direction I drop it. :D

The Overland I have is reinforced...just saw it on their site. It doesn't seem to flinch (not sure I would have noticed it anyway) with 3 hookers and a pony, so I guess I am ok.....

I don't know what my RTT weigh, but I pumped mines on my lifted 4runner by myself. It was heavy, but it went up. No scratches. I did put a moving blanket against the truck. Gude luck.

    sent from my Hawn fingers

That certainly looks easy enough...my tent is probably a bit heavier than that one and my trucks a tad higher, but I will attempt it. Really worried about my back topper window.
