2016 Tacoma Limited

Hi my name is Mike and I bought the Limited. I can't tell you how disappointed I am with Toyota about the grille they put on this truck. It's the same as the SR and SR5. What were they thinking? At 40K you would have thought they have come up with something more distinguishable for this truck. After berating them on Facebook they just seem to have the I don't care attitude. many on there have complained as well. So I'm looking into replacing it with a chrome one. Any one have any suggestions?

Plenty of guys on the classified thread are looking to swap grills for the one you have. It actually seems to be the more desirable one. Hope you get a grill that makes you happy.

 

OP, then why buy that model if you dont like the grill? I dont understand the need for people to piss and moan about something that they willingly paid for. Dont like it, dont buy it, easy as that. And im sure bitching on facebook really stuck it to Toyota, you still gave them your $40K. You really wanna stick it to them, buy a chevy or a ford.

Seems odd to me to decide to buy a different truck just because you don't like the grille on the truck you really want. Makes more sense to buy the truck and swap out the grille, no ?

 

Thank you all for the welcome messages. For Madvillain, Cam37 hit it on the nose. Change out the grille. As for the Facebook writing what I wrote sends a message to prospective buyers. I don't consider it pissing and moaning. Just feedback. Isn't that the purpose of this forum? Suggestions and feedback? Personally I like the grille on the TRD Sport. It's a much classier grille. Bottom line Toyota dropped the ball on the Limited in this respect. However the features inside the cab is what I was looking for. That's why I bought this model.

I love my Limited 4X4 Silver, had it tinted darker, and looking for
nerf bars on it right now. It handles and looks great.

 

Mike I am brand new to the forum too. I have a 2016 TRD SPORT with the Chrome Grill I want to get ride of. I would be willing to swap if you are interested. Let me know.

Let's see, when you say "After berating them on Facebook" that is one and the same as "pissing and moaning". Then when you say "they just seem to have the I don't care attitude" what are you wanting them to do, design you a new grill and give it to you for free? 40k isn't anything to be entitled to exclusivity when your truck is based off a 20k version. The petty complaints of people these days is astonishing, they will complain about anything...

You already have the nice grill. You don't want to replace it with that blingy cheese grater.

 

If you know what kind of grille you are getting you can't be pissed when it shows up. You didn't say hey dealer, I'll take the truck behind door number 3 and then this thing magically appears

Cool house though I like the shutters. I also like the grille.
