Nice one! From a 3 week road trip this past October, taken on a 4 day backpack through paria canyon. It had flashed a few days before so there was a lot of water crossings like this.

My local fire department needed a badge photographed. They dropped it off to my house and my goal was to see how fast I could send in the final product. I think the end result isn't too bad considering I used plexiglass, a binder, window light, and three pieces of paper. No photoshop needed and I was finished in less than 20 minutes!

Nice, I look at those mountains but I don't have a roof with a view where I can get good pictures of them.

Excellent. I haven't welded in more than 15 years. I don't even want to think about how mine would look.

Playing around last night. Had the camera handy when my mutts crashed out on the sofa. Both were unusually cooperative. I haven't figured out lighting yet, so these are with just the room lamp.

But I'm guessing that your shot took a little more creativity. How did you get that?

She was sitting under the kittchen table with her back to a wall and her face to the kitchen slider door. He face was well lit, but the rest of her body and the wall behind her fell into deep shadow. So I grabbed my macro lens and laid down in front of her to take as many shots as I could before she decided she would like to walk on top of me. I think I got 5-10 photos before she moved.
I had remembered a series done by a talented photographer of African animal portraits. The lion came to my head so I googled it and used that as my inspiration in Photoshop.

This was the inspiration for the post-production work.

My parents have a pond in their back yard, and a few years back my nephew threw a tadpole in there that he had caught in a nearby creek. Well the little thing grew up and still living in the pond. I happened to have my macro lens with me so I took a few shots of him. He is aptly named Froggie.

You can even see my reflection in his eye!
