Can anyone tell me if the TRD SEMA 17" 4Runner rims on stock tires will fit a 1st gen 2002 Tacoma Prerunner? Any pics would be helpful as well.

    Thanks for the reply.
Also wondering about any clearance issues. Ie frame rub, control arm contact during full turn. Im going to run stock tire dimensions and stock suspension.
I got the whatever specs from the dealer 17x7x 4mm offset but I can't find any specs on the back space so measured it and got appx 4.25". Which should be fine but I wanted to dbl check maybe someone here knows something I don't.
I know there can be issues when running 2/3rd gen stock 17" rims on 1st gen models but the backspace is about an inch greater. Just want to make sure I check the boxes before I drop $$ on new rims.
    Thanks

OP, IIRC the backspacing on a 1st gen is 4.5". So 4.25" should be fine. Its when you get close to 4.75"-5" is when you run into problems.

Hopefully somebody will correct me if I'm in error.

There is a lot in print on this subject, use the search feature and see if it has the information you seek.

    And welcome to TW.

No help here but wanted to mention there is a way to determine wheel backspacing if you have the offset number and the wheel width. Figured it would be a good FYI for the future... I cant quite remeber at the moment though, but it pretty simple. Hardest part is converting the mm to inches.

Something like....half the wheel width which would be 3.5". Then i think you add a 1/4" to that number for some reason? Then simply convert the mm(offset) to inches and add or subtract that number, dependent uppon +Or- offset to the width and thall be your backspacing measurement. Now dont hold me to that but if its not right its very close lol. Pretty sure thats right though.

Has anybody tried these and had success on a Gen 1? I'm interested in picking these up for my double cab
