Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
You seem pretty new here. Suffice it to say: "a lot is involved" and a supercharger install on a Tacoma is an "expensive process." I'll let you go from there.

Unbolt manifold and intake, throttle body, rebolt s/c stuff. There's Trd manuals too to guide you through it.
    And reflash.

No problem, sometimes it's better to not answer questions like a dick to someone who genuinely needs guidance

You can try asking any other questions here or on any similar s/c thread, seeing as I'm a 3.4 and there are more knowledgeable 4.0 guys here:

@TashcomerTexas im a 3.4 guy as well and I've heard pretty much just negative things about the S/C for our engines, in your opinion is it really worth the 30-ish HP gain? Is it noticeable?

Nothing to be rude (seriously), intended to be helpful.

    1) never post your email in a forum. I don't care if it's a 2nd or 3rd account. It will become a spam magnet. Look at how many bots are signed onto the forum at any given time.

    2) IIRC you can't buy these as new kits anymore

    3) we have no clue what your mechanical skills/experiences are. You may or may not be capable of such a venture.

    4) what are your expectations? Seems many folks are pretty disappointed at the results of a TRD, especially considering the price/HP ratio and the increased operating cost.

OP, there you go. Read the specs page. See if that's how you want to spend $6k for a box full of parts for you to install. They may send you a copy of the install instructions that you could read to determine if it was something you could do, or have to farm out.

I know everyone has different goals and different funding levels available. If it were me, I'd spend the $6k on an older Miata that had been boosted and well maintained, and just enjoy all the things it can do that the truck will never do. And enjoy the truck for all the things it can do that the Miata will never do. Two different vehicles, two different sets of capabilities. Win Win for the same cost.

In the "ultimate" realm of automotive superchargers, 6psi is fairly "low" and "safe". The fact the ECM's are locked on these vehicles and there is no real tuning available other than piggybacks or ditch your whole ECM for aftermarket is a deal breaker for me... otherwise mine would already have one :D

Also, IMHO, 30-40hp sucks for 6k, LOL. The other car I play with you can go from 420hp to near 700 for the same entry price. Like someone else said, either buy a different truck (with more HP stock...) or a different vehicle to play forced induction with. This platform sucks at best....

30-40? The 1GR-FE does ~236HP give or take various things and the supercharger from Magnuson says 305-335HP after install. That's more like 70-100HP.

Sure these are probably ideal numbers and ultimately are at the crank shaft, but I'd say 30-40HP isn't quite giving it the credit it deserves...

Your right, I'm thinking of 266lb/ft TQ.

Even so the aforementioned tuning "issues" would prevent me from dumping that kind of cash, all to have 305hp. A stock V6 mustang makes that, and would still spank the shit out of a supercharged taco.

I saw a guy run a supercharged 12-13 Taco (Genuine TRD kit) at my local track where I play wannabe racecars :D It ran 16.6-16.8..... LOL. Yeah, the track is at 5800ft of elevation but that performance is abysmal at best...

    To each their own though...

I agree it's a bit much, I'm mainly more into the power provided while offroading. I'd like to see that V6 mustang do 60+ on some of the roads we hit!
