I don't think my stock chrome grille looks hideous at all, I actually like it. That Pro grille does look really nice tho!!

I have the exact same video and the exact same problem!! I showed the video to the service guy at the dealership and he said even though the video showed the sound, they couldn't reproduce the noise so I was SOL. I'm going out to my truck right now to see if I can figure out what you're talking about with the rubber strip!!

Yeah that video is the exact same noise!

Should the dealer be in charge of fixing that or should I buy some tubing from lowes and do it myself?

Thanks so much man! That definetly seems like it's gonna do the trick

OEM rail. You just unscrew the 5 torx head screws from the bed and then reinstall with the rail in there. Took all of 5 minutes.

By changing the exclamation point to a question mark.

Seriously though, look several posts up (12363). He explains it there.

I have a ton of extra drip line from a garden I built. It looks to be about the same size as what the dealer used. Just wedged it in there, now I just have to wait for another windy day to take the truck out on the highway!

Dressed her up a little with some OEM tube steps and mudguards. Also swapped out the interior lights for LEDs.

The tubing seems to be 3/8" OD.

When I took my truck in for the noise issue I just played it straight with the head maintenance guy. I told him I am not going to leave them with the truck because they aren't going to be able to reproduce the noise and it's going to waste everyone's time and their money. I said I was pretty confident that the noise was coming from the door seal area above the window as I could feel vibration there from the inside when the noise was present. He seemed to have some experience with this issue on 2nd gens and mentioned that the door seal is pretty wimpy. He said he had some scrap weather strip tubing that he could shove in the seal and see how that works. He simply pulled back the seal (not off, just out of the way) and shoved the tubing underneath the door seal. I took 20 seconds. Its not noticeable at all. It might not be worth the hassle to fight with a dealership on this if they aren't willing to help, just buy a couple feet of ~3/8" OD rubber tubing and do it yourself. Picture is the door seal bent back and rubber tubing underneath, and again the ends pulled out for an idea of the length/placement. It worked for me, but I was able to narrow it down to this area.

That's a sharp looking truck, clean and simple. Good call on that front license plate too!

So I know its one of those questions that's going to get me shit...I'm looking to install KMC XD800 Misfit rims in matte black, but I'm debating on weather or not to purchase tires with a little more aggressive look or throw the stock tires on the rims until they wear out and then purchase the tires I really want. Has anyone tried there stock tires on a set of black rims ? If you got pics that would help...Thanks!!!!

Just buy new tires and sell the old ones. Tires make the look completely different.
