    Are floor mats a mod?
THANK YOU @JimSnell For all of your help and expertise with my winch mount this morning!
So, before anyone starts berating my Quasimodo mount, heres why I didn't go full bumper.
-I needed a winch. Cuz sometimes my alligator driving gets my rabbit ass in trouble.:bananadead:
-I do not intend to vaporize a cow with the front of my truck.
-I had an approved budget, and decided that I would rather do a good OBA and HC rear, than front and rear with no OBA ( cuz rear air locker this summer)
    -Cuz rear locker this summer.
In all, I think it will be a good solution, as my goal is a moderate, capable build, not a full expo or rock crawler.
Also, I am an avowed cable fan, but I went synth. Safety 1st. If it wears out faster, so be it. Cheaper than an arm.

I prefer to have a full blown expo crusher, but, it's my DD, and I am realistic about what I will use it for.
Since I'm DCLB, I'd rather spend on the HC rear. #longbedproblems.
Also, I'd rather spend on making my truck more capable with an air locker.
Plus I'm working on a cool on board instant hot water system, cuz people are getting tired of seeing me jumping naked into the river for a bath!
Wait. Now I'll be standing by my truck doing the same thing. But hot water= win!

You should check out CVT Tents, they have a solution for standing butt naked next to your truck

That's a Whole different convo! N.G. Likes to hike, so an RTT would be a pain to pack up every time she wants to go to a trailhead.
Thinking about an off road trailer. Till then, it's a tent. Big tent. Queen size mattress. Wine rack.

Looks good Tom! I just found out about this heat exchanger the other day, seems like a reasonable price, and you can adjust the water temp with the temp gauge inside our trucks too! Hopefully I can get a system in before my overlanding trip this summer.

Ha! The trailhead at the KOA??!! I know exactly what you are talking about. First multi day hike i took my girl on she packed 3 wine bottles. Hell no. You gotta do the boxed wine all the way and just take the bladders. Of course i carry that crap and the 4 person tent!

I went up Green Mountain a couple years ago on logging roads. I stopped at a place where the road is blocked with 3 to 4 foot diameter rocks for at least 100 feet. Someone really doesn't want anyone to get through. Later I found out there's a Navy site past the closed road, Jim Creek I believe it's called.

I would but a car lift makes u joints, and brake pads/rotors much easier.

    Are you free Sunday?

Also a great time up with @CASHORT today, lots of recovery experience. Almost needed to start a TW recovery event for me :anonymous:

Agreed! Buy N.G. Is a serious hiker. Where we used to backpack, she drilled holes in ther toothbrush to lighten it. She was disappointed when they didn't legalize powcahol.
It's just that it's a pain to pack an RTT just to go a couple miles to the trailhead.
I have thought about a hitch mount for a Honda trail 90 to do that tho....

Now that you have a winch you can make your own trail. Drive right to the top and setup the taj mahal.

Yeah when we do Tiger mountain, she RUNS up the front, and I drive up the back and have a nice leisurely walk with the picnic pack!
I think you are on to something here...... Just have to find a trail to the top of Mt Stewart!

I have keys to the gates at tiger! We did some road maintenance and built a bridge one year up there. It's a nice drive from highway 18 to poopoo point to watch the fireworks on the 4th of July.  :p

You should just have Mule do it if you're worried about having to bend over and stuff

Oh trust me I replaced my Bronco's U joints in a frat parking lot in college. But you're right crawling under the truck is hard work for a 21 year old :ohsnap:

All joking aside, didn't you just have some sort of back surgery @northwesttaco ? I can see why he'd rather work on something standing up than roll in and out from under his truck. :dunno:

I may be thinking of @GSPRunner I seem to remember him mentioning something about back surgery when we went for a TW shoot out one weekend.

Yeah I had a minor one 2.5 weeks ago. I'm not saying that the only way I'm going to replace them myself is with a car lift, I'm saying if I have access to one why not use it? Pretty sure everyone would agree it's nicer to use a car lift to work on your truck than jack stands..
