    Love this generation! Mine's a 98 with 230,000 miles on her. 2.7L /Auto trans /285/75R16 / 4.88 gears / Rear ARB locker / On-board Viair compressor w/ 5 gal tank / Sway-A-Way 2.5" front struts / Custom 8-leaf rear / Custom bed rack w/ operable RTT / BentUp bumpers F&R / too much to list.

I used 4wd components (front diff/transmission/transfer case) out of a 99 4Runner when converting it from a 'PreRunner' back in '08-09

Calico a few years back (with my first bed rack - non-adjustable)

Thank god for plating the rear frame and heavy duty bumper, I had no frame damage.

2nd gen bedrack (allows me to transport the RTT at a 'lower' height, but raises the RTT when time to deploy the tent

Yeah its A trail gear. I got a sweet deal on CL. Heres a pic of what it looks like off the truck. The hitch seems strong, although I havent overloaded it like I did with the factory hitch.

Either your build or Ga Tacoma Owners or one of the trip threads. But you can just start over on Ga Tacoma Owners seeing that's the main thread

I picked it up from the second owner with 117K miles on it - has 126K now. Spent most of it's life in northern Georgia, went to Iowa with the second owner. I had to add the skid plates back on, someone removed them previously, I changed the interior lights to LED, and built a dog platform in back for my German Shepherd. The underside of the dog platform has clamps that hold a hand axe, entrenching tool, maglight, etc. Replaced the driver seat trim piece, and polished and resealed the headlights. Changed the timing belt, starter, and lower control arms, otherwise it's been solid from day one I've owned it. 2000 xtra cab, V6, SR5, Auto, 4x4. No accidents and everything works. I loved the FJ, but realized after 6 years of owning it I'd rather have the pick up bed.

Great little truck, but probably not worth as much as you think. Better resale than your average vehicle, but it's the 4x4s that command a heavy premium.
