Looking at another F 150, might buy in the next few months.

3 past F 150's other than maintenance, zero issues.

Probably would have gone with the 2016 Maxima. But needed a truck. :annoyed:

I'd get a new f150. they are far and away the most advanced with technology and features. they also have the best power plant imo in a half ton truck. most torque and best fuel economy. and they have the quietest cab. if you haven't test driven the 3.5 twin turbo I'd definitely recommend it.

Stay away from the GM twins. Even if you take care of it, it will still fail their transmissions are some of the worst on the market and they will start needing major repairs around 50,000 miles. I know lots of friends who are chevy die hards and love their truck, but they are constantly in the shop. There is a reason consumer reports has the twins on the list of 10 of the worst reliable cars of 2016.

My 2016 Ram Laramie w/ 5.7 Hemi has quieter cabin, more power, more features, more comfortable seating, better storage, better Nav and tech, and MUCH better ride...Then my 2014 Ford King Ranch 5.0. And I'm not brand loyal or a "fanboy".

The ONE feature I miss from the F150 is the tailgate step. But the RamBoxes more then make up for that deficiency.

Understood. I would have went with the F150. And came real close to doing so. But my test drives and research proved the Ram to be the better truck. Imo.

I would wait it out for the new midsize Nissan. Never had a Frontier, but I drove the wheels off of 3 different MT hardbodies, all 4x4. I did bad things to those slow ass trucks off road in AZ and UT, and they just begged for more.

They are fugly, but I have always had a soft spot for the Subaru Baja. If I could have found one of those clean, with a MT, I might have bought it. Still will keep looking for one, casually anyway. Especially if it is a turbo.

Whatever comes in a manual determines my ever dwindling automobile choices.

    Agree.
But I see these large trucks with 6bangers and I puke. The pussification of America continues.
Hell, even my Ram has the politically correct MDS. Thankfully I can turn it off.

The full size GM trucks have horrible interiors. And I've always liked a Chevy/GMC in the past.
And those over pronounced squared wheel wells are bad design. :puke:

Excellent point, I have never owned a Toyota. So I gave it a try in 2013 and leased a DCSB 4x4 SR5. Now that I have had it for a few years on lease and absolutely love it, I decided there is no other truck for me so I bought it. This is a nice way to test out a vehicle on your own without too much money.

Midsize - I would go with the new GMC Canyon with the diesel.
Full size- I would go with a new Ford Raptor.

If I needed a truck & the Tacoma was out I'd look at a Tundra first if only due to reliability. I've owned several other brands and have to say of the trucks I've owned an F250 Diesel was my favorite. But, it (like my 2008 F150) were far from reliable.
