Does the Mack MP10 6 cylinder fall into your "pussification" criteria?

I am in no hurry to purchase and wanting to get back into the mid size truck. My requirements have changed for a pickup. Ride comfort is the top of the list. Since I no longer do rock crawling but still go fishing and camping a good AWD would also work.

If not a Tacoma, I am waiting to check out the new Honda Ridgeline that will be out this late spring. Nissan may have a new Frontier out in 2017 which I also would look at if the Honda does not pan out.

GMC Sierra 2500 Denali 4x4. If it wasn't $70k I'd have bought one instead of my Tacoma. Truth is I don't need that much truck yet. I'll end up getting one though once I pay off the Taco. Each will be my "forever trucks" and serve different purposes. Very happy with the Taco now. Serves my current needs perfectly, but it won't be enough truck down the line.

I'd love a loaded Ram 3500 Dually Laramie or Longhorn with the Cummings. Pulling a 5th wheel RV to a place I've never been.

If I had to pull the no Tacoma trigger right now it would be pretty tough. Assuming that a condition was I had to keep it (as opposed to trading it in for a Tacoma when able), I might go... 4Runner or Jeep Rubicon. I need an adventure vehicle.

2017 Ridgeline. It will probably be on the lots in a few months. They did a good job with it, looks nice and after all it is a Honda product.

GM twins with diesel? I love me some deezul, and the truck is returning excellent mpg #s and for being much heavier than competitors. But the motor is made in Thailand and I think it's a POS VM Motori brand. Sure it's a Duramax by name, but it wasn't co-developed by Isuzu/GM like the 6.6L.

I would look at an F-150. A King cab with a 6.5 foot bed or something. Whenever I see one of those I really like the size, its not stupid looking like the Tundra. Those F-150s just look "right". And can't beat the 2.7L ecoboost. Spanks the 3.5L Tacoma in power and mpg.

Ram 1500 because no Ford Rangers or Dodge Dakota's are being manufactured at the present time. I'm a Ford man but I don't like the looks of the new F150. Done the 2015 Colorado, not for me. To much cheap plastic.

I find it interesting that some posters would jump to a full size pu even into the 3/4ton to 1ton class.

I agree, each to their own. I liked my 06 Tacoma 4x4 sport. The 2016 is ok. My 09 Ram 1500 4x4 rides better than the Tacoma.

imo, the new Ridgeline looks better than the 1st gen.

So I will assume the criteria must be a pick up bed, since it is either tacoma or something alike... (yes I would take a 4runner or fj with manual tranny but neither are pick up beds)

Defender hc crew cab pick up , land cruiser troopy pick up bed, ford raptor

I'd go with the Tundra if the Tacoma wasn't an option. I was "this" close to getting a Tundra this time around. The 2017 Raptor has me drooling though...

F150 with the larger 3.5 Ecoboost. More room, better towing, better gas mileage.

I'm partial to the new F150's with the ecoboost but I have an appreciation for all the full size trucks. I love my Taco right now but could definitely see myself moving to full size in the future. If Toyota would do something with the Tundra I would probably put that at the top of my list.

The new Ridgeline.....SUV/Pickup truck. Made by another reliable automaker, Honda. For the driving and bed use I do, the Honda would be fine. Will NEVER buy another domestic.

I would just get a fatter wallet! Or put the cash in my old Taco. Nothing compares, so I wouldn't buy anything else.
