Had a free day so I finished up my Switch-Pro 8100 install, including mounting the control box in the overhead console. While I was up there running wire, I went ahead and put Raam Mat and Ensolite on the roof and back wall. Stuff goes on nice and easy, although I haven't had a chance to actually take a drive to see if it makes any difference. Also installed my knock-off ARB LED spots ($200 for 2, which is a lot better than $1600 for 2, even if they aren't as bright.) Got everything wired and heat shrinked and taped up like crazy, although at this point I am starting to see the wisdom in just dropping the $200 up front for a WeatherPack box and doing everything that way. Maybe on the next truck!

It took me 15 days but I finally did this,20160323_164238_resized.jpg
I went from 1400 to 1500 miles. I know this is sad. One of these days when I finally get healed from my knee replacement it will start to go up at a faster rate.

I was looking at the R/T's too. I think that's what I'll get if the dealership says it's the tires

On of the guys at my work runs the R/T's on his F-350. Awesome looking tire but he says they run too stiff. If they're harsh on a F-350 they're gonna be worse on our smaller truck. Just something to think about.

Huh. My 2015 calls for 5k oil change. Is 10k a pre-runner thing?

I think they are overkill/ugly. If you don't tailgate people, you shouldn't have issues with chips on your windshield. Whatever floats your boat.

I don't tailgate. Aesthetics are a poor reason to cost other people $

Well then why don't all vehicles come with mudflaps?

Some stick on chrome from pep boys
Not all of them meet the legal requirements for them. Some ever get them installed by the dealer during the receiving preparation.

Toyota is the only manufacturer I have seen that come with them standard. If someone is driving gravel roads day in, day out, then they would be a candidate for them in my mind. I think it's more along the lines of Toyota trying to protect their lower quality paint.
