That's what I read online. Tech at the dealer said that was not the case though. Maybe because I'm a DCLB? I forget the word he used but it wasn't a tab he said he ran into. I'll have to crawl under there Thursday on my day off.

I bent the tabs down with a big hammer and my 255/80/17 still didn't fit. I was hitting the rear exhaust hanger so I ended up chopping my exhaust and cutting off the exhaust mount

Thanks. It seems like the tech told me there was a mount bracket for something else in the way on my DCLB. Can't recall what he said. Strut tower or something? Not sure.

I had to cut the exhaust hanger mount cause it wouldn't go up in cause of my rear spring mount but with out the exhaust hanger it clears but it's a tight fit either way

How is your clearance to the back of the diff? Could contact under compression. With 265/75 16, mine is very close. Too close. Hoist relocate mod might be needed.

It's close I have never had contact with my diff tho I watch this tho. I can't do the hoist relocation cause of my hidden hitch in my aftermarket bumper I did cut a 3/4“ off the back of the hitch for a little extra clearance

Wow, OK. I have the OEM hitch and it was not a problem back there.

My spare spends most of its time in the bed of my truck under my tool box but I put it under the truck when needed I have it on a matching aluminum wheel I don't like keeping it under the truck in the winter due to the salt anyway

I have to say I read a lot about how quiet these tires are. I shut off my stereo and went down the highway at 75 and even in my poorly sealed Tacoma could barely hear them.

Crazy quiet considering how aggressive the tread is.

The only drawback so far from my 30" Michelin M/S 2's is an obvious hit in MPGs and power to the ground. But a 33" ST Maxx is much larger and heavier.

They are nearly as quiet amazingly. Only had them 4 days though. Driven on wet and slick roads so far. Couple spring snows but no ice as of yet.

Think I need to regear to get the power back so I can cruise at lower rpm again.

Just filled up and ran the numbers on my first tank since putting on my 255's and lift. Lost 2MPG even in an all city driving tank.

I went from Dura Trac 265/75/16 Load Range C to St Maxx 265/75/16 Load Range E. My 10 Tank average on the Fuelly App was 15.9 MPG. My First tank on the same size ST Maxx was 16.3 MPG

I went from stock suspension with stock 265's to a 3+ inch lift and 255/85's so losing 2MPG was better than I thought actually. I figured I would lose 3-4.

Okay so topped off after my first half tank of gas with my Coopers.

Trip meter said 167.6 miles driven. Because these tires are 9% variance in revs per mile I added 9% making that 182.684. Divided by 11.42 gallons gives me....

    15.996 MPG.

So, should I get these next for my DCSB over the new BFG ats? I tow an 18 ft camper, and daily drive 38 miles one way. But want a good long lasting cool looking tire with little MPG affects.
