Did you replace the rotor bearings(6203)? those rotor pack seals are a PITA to find. It also doesn't look like many people replace those bearings. Just curious. jon bond wants $80 for both, seems crazy to me.

I am at $110 before those bearings and seals... lol

Everything else is great! thank you for putting that together, make a lot of sense now!

Holy shit, I have three of those sitting in my garage I was going to rebuild and sell. Might be looking at a good profit...haha

I did the first time, but it didn't go well. They are so precise and tough to deal with I didn't for the last two rebuilds I did. Typically those bearings aren't as bad as the nose cone and you should be fine. I bought my kits from spinning wheels, but it looks like they are out of stock. http://spinningwheels-sc.com/eatonseriessuperchargerpartscombo.aspx

What is costing you so much?

You totally need to do it! There are a lot of lazy people out there. I have seen a few sites that will rebuild cones if you send them for $260

    $19 for nose bearings(Amazon)
$25 for pregreased needle bearings(rolling performance)
    $29.95 for sc coupler(RP)
$12.95 for the viton nose seal(RP)
    $8.95 4oz gm sc fluid(RP)
    $4.95 gasket maker(RP)
    $8.95 for shipping

IF I wanted to fo the rotor bearings/seals that would be another $100, 80 of which are those stupid rotor pac seals. I am getting a new seal and coupler, not just the bearings, that is the price difference.

I emailed the guy at RP to see if they have the stuff in stock, i can't tell if they are still in business! lol

I guess for now I will leave those bearings out of it. When I take it apart, unless there is a glaring problem I see no need to replace them then. The way I look at it with a motor that has 120k(the engine the sc is coming off) the maintenance was just done, or really needs to be done, but that mileage shouldn't have ruined anything.
