I was looking at the same one but I have a manual transmission and they only have one listed for the automatic. Not sure if there is a difference. So I haven't ordered one yet but that is the exhaust I'm going to get. I loved the one on my 2015. I wonder if that's a typo on the website with the 2.5 inch pipe because that's what the 2nd gen tacomas were. The 3rd gens are 3inch I believe.

Do you know if your supposed to disconnect the battery cable after installing. I didn't and seem to be getting worse gas millage after installing that same filter.

I don't think the transmissions will have a difference on the exhaust imo.

I would disconnect it just to give it time to re-learn it. Could help.

That's what I was thinking too. But can't bring myself to spend the money till I know for sure it will fit.

Got the exhaust on yesterday and it's actually quite loud. I was looking for something on the louder end of the spectrum so it's all good though.

As far as what it takes to get the exhaust to fit - almost no effort! Unfortunately right after I took the stock cat back off I got a call and I had to leave asap for a family emergency. I was planning on getting the stock and 2nd gen exhaust to bolt together with no modification to the stock parts (which would have been fairly easy depending on getting a gasket to seal) but instead I just cut the stock rear most flange off leaving enough room to put it back on with a clamp. All I had to do then was cut the aftermarket pipe that went between the stock exhaust and the straight through muffler to the correct length and used a 2.5 inch clamp I got on Amazon along with the exhaust to connect it.

Here is a not so great picture I took in my rush to get to the hospital. The larger clamp took the place of the stock flange. tacomaexhaustinstall.jpg

Damn I've been wondering this same thing as well! And for them to get a confirmed install on a MT truck. Lol oh well gives me time to save up my pennies.

No I bought an MBRP exhaust - here is the link : http://www.amazon.com/MBRP-S5322409...F8&qid=1459200772&sr=8-7&keywords=mbrp+tacoma

I'm going to give it some time and decide if I like it or want to try a different setup. I had an AFE turn down exhaust similar to this on my FJ and really liked it, but I always wished it was little louder. This is certainly loud, but if I were to change it I'd probably get the AFE tacoma one.

No, I bought that. I actually have a few at work but they are 3inch ones and the one in the picture is a 2.5 inch. As I said, I was originally going to get it to bolt up which wouldn't have taken much effort but I got a phone call right after I took the stock exhaust off that I needed to go to the hospital ASAP. I just said screw it and cut and clamped it.

Here's the link for the clamp : http://www.amazon.com/SmartParts-12...&qid=1459201901&sr=8-2&keywords=exhaust+clamp

I dont know of anyone buying the borla system. Its hard to sell a product without a sound clip... I just ordered the magnaflow system mainly because it was 3" instead borlas 2.5". hottexhaust.com had it and if you email them they will give you a killer discount code. It doesnt say they are out of stock so hopefully mine ships soon!
