So took my truck in for 5k maintenance. I told them I was hearing a whirring sound around 54 mph and it was prob related to low differential fluids. So they did the oil change and then checked tranny and diff fluid. Of course it was way lower than needed. On the way home I didn't hear the whirring and seemed way smoother. I'll be installing new turn signal white BULBS tomorrow and K&N filter. Hoping to get my exhaust and rims/tires soon!! :D

It looks good with center caps, but the silver and red, bronze wheels, too many colors. Maybe if you paint caps bronze and TRD logo black, could possibly look better?!

I got my truck a week ago and am wondering if I should go get this checked. How are people getting that 7yr warranty for free if they are low?

Your dealer must be an a$$. I just took mine in this week for the first service. I asked them to change the oil and offered to pay for it. They did it and refused to charge me.

Yes if I insisted on a 5000 mile change it would be $249.00 plus forfeit my free service for 25000 what a crock I believe in full synthetic but first break in i feel should happen at 1000 but the warranty it so I'm going to drive it like I stole it if it fails they will replace it

I believe you can just pay for an oil change only not a full service and I think that's around $80. Or you can opt to do it yourself for about $40 or so, that's what I do.

Well the first service is completely free... I told them to check a list of things though.

You don't have to "break in" these motors or any motor for that matter. The only time you have to do that is when you get a completely new one and do a swap. Other than hat the dealership always runs multiple tests and what not before. So technically the odometer is only chassis miles. But as far as oil change and service, I had a sticker in my window that said first complimentary service is due at 6 months or 5k mikes.

That's bullshit. My dealer specifically told me that I need to do my first oil change at 5,000 miles, and THEN every 10,000 after that. If I off-road a lot, however (thou I don't) that 10,000 mile increment should be shortened to 5,000. They said this is policy.

They even gave me a yellow piece of paper with a proposed first oil-change date on it - it came with the Toyota care packet. I wish I'd saved it, I'd post it for you to take and argue with those turd nuggets.

If it's low, how do you go about getting the free 7yr warranty? Ask at the dealership or is there an 800 number.

I have an sr5 4x4 with the tow package

To be honest, it will most likely be low lol. But I'm not sure about the 7 yr warranty. I only have the factory one, which I believe is only 3 yr.
